Video Overview & Insights

In this video I recommend some of my favorite bar tools and essentials, tried and tested in real bars over the years. These bar accessories are great for home use as well as professionally behind the bar. I also share the specifics of why certain bar equipment works better for certain uses, and do some bar tool comparisons. What are some of your favorite tools?

the rag is essential. I used to work weddings, and I would spend lots of time near the bartender. Whenever it slowed down he would polish his glassware, and it looked so cool. Then he would hold it up in the light to look for smudges.

Thanks for making this video I'm going to write all of these down in my notebook where I keep a list of different things. If you haven't already can you make a video explaining what is the difference between Highball Glass,Collins Glass, Lowball glass, rocks glass and Old Fashioned. These are also the kinds of glassware I will need. My favorite are the Martini glasses and the champagne Coupes. I like them in all kinds of sizes from short to tall. I'm going to get some made out of lead and many that are lead free. Not interested for a set; I'd rather purchase one to 3 different glass from many brands so that I don't get bored with one design and style. Another reason is to acquiring cocktail glassware from various European countries. Discovered while researching on the internet that Champagne Coupe also has other names such as Champagne Saucer and Champagne Cup which is interesting. Amazing glassware because they look like an upside-down mushroom plus you can serve champagne inside of the glass. They also come in different styles such as a cone triangular shape, shallow rectangle bar, square/cylinder.

Hello, I have a question about the OXO jigger. In oz it should measure 1/3, 3/4 and 1 1/2 and in 1/4, 1/2 and 1 oz, but in my country it is in ml. But it measures 10ml, 20ml and 50ml and in 5ml, 15ml and 30ml. If i am correct those ammounts do not line up so should i still buy the jigger?

Glass pint with shaker is best. It holds more and the presentation is better than the cheater tin. You and the guest can see the ingredients. Every bar should have rubber mats so breakage is unlikely. You can get them in plastic too as a backup, but the glass is so thick its not going to break.

My wife wants to gift me the basics to do cocktails (as a fun stuff when we party with friends, nothing serious). So we just watched this video for an overview of a good starter kit. This was both fun to watch and interesting. (Also the total investment is half of what I was expecting)
Thanks for sharing this video.
I’ll surely watch way more of your content very soon.

How is it that you haven't added all of these items to an affiliate link on Amazon, I'm burning hours on amazon etc. trying to build a shopping list for both of my brothers-in-laws. Get a store going, the weight of your opinion goes a long way!
