10 BEST Cash Back Credit Cards
Video Overview & Insights
In this video we are talking about the 10 best cash back credit cards that will help you to earn hundreds of dollars in cash back every year! These top cash back credit cards earn anywhere from 2% cash back on everything to 5% cash back in certain spending categories, but some of these credit cards can even earn up to 10% back. Each credit card on this list is a no annual fee credit card, so any cash back is going to be pure profit back into your pocket.
To explain the “card I can’t mention” that I talked about in the video because I’ve received a few comments about it.
The videos here on my channel are 100% free and always will be. The goal of these videos is to educate as many people as possible about credit cards, points and miles, and smart money habits. In order to make the best possible content, I dedicate countless hours every week to research and write these videos all by myself. I also pay an editor who is much better at editing videos and helps to make them high quality.
To make any money to support this free content, myself and other creators look to other forms of monetizing such as YouTube ads, sponsors, and affiliate marketing to name a few. For this channel, affiliate marketing is obviously a big part of that and comes in the form of affiliate links that are often in the descriptions of my videos. These affiliate links lead viewers to websites that allow them to sign up for certain products like credit cards. When that happens, that information is tracked and I receive a commission for someone signing up for that credit card. These links are 100% optional and I actually encourage anyone that uses them to check those links as well as any other public offers to find the best deals and the best sign up bonuses for themselves. There is a disclaimer for this in the description of every video as well and I try to be open about how this stuff works.
In this video, I mentioned 10 credit cards that made this list (plus the bonus credit card that I couldn’t mention by name). Only 3 of these cards were able to be directly linked to with these affiliate links based on what I have access to at the moment. These 3 affiliate links can be found in the video description. For the remaining 7 credit cards and 1 bonus credit card, I do not have direct affiliate links for those. I do have a link to a general credit card page where offers for some other cards may be available, so I post that link in the description as well.
The challenge with the 1 credit card and issuer that I couldn’t mention here is that they are strictly not allowed to be mentioned in videos where I am monetizing with these affiliate links at the moment. This is NOT due to other credit card issuers paying me to not mention them, but rather due to restrictions in place because this issuer does not work with affiliate networks the same way. So basically, I can either mention this 1 credit card by name and not post affiliate links for the other cards in a video like this - or I can post affiliate links for the other cards and just mention the features of the unnamed card without saying the name. I decided to try out that second option in this video because the affiliate links are an important part of helping my channel to operate from the revenue that they generate. I could have left out that unnamed card entirely, but I felt like most people would call out that this card was missing and should have made the list. So I wanted to at least reference it because it truly is one of the best cash back credit cards on the market, especially for beginners. This is the first time that I tested out mentioning this unnamed card like this, so usually I just say the name and then leave out affiliate links (like this video here from last month: https://youtu.be/hZL6yvJ3a2o)
These restrictions with affiliate links are always changing and are one of the challenges that I try to navigate as best as I can. Many of the credit cards that I mentioned here will actually generate $0 in revenue for me anyway (for example I do not receive commissions for the PayPal Mastercard, Citi cards, and Wells Fargo cards at the moment). All cards that made this list in this video were determined without revenue in mind. Believe me, there are plenty of other really bad credit cards from bad issuers that would pay me more, but I will never include those cards on these lists. I also NEVER accept upfront payments from any 1 credit card issuer to talk about them more favorably than another. I have no direct contact with anyone at any of these credit card companies, and any money I make from credit card links comes on the back end from the affiliate commissions through third party affiliate networks that I am a part of.
This is the first time that I have referenced this card in that way because I have seen other content creators refer to it the same way. But in the future to avoid any further confusion, what I am going to do is just not post affiliate links in videos where this card is talked about by name. That way I can just freely discuss the benefits of this card without worrying about breaking compliance rules.
Hopefully all of that makes sense because I want this channel to be the most transparent resource for credit card and personal finance content. I will be making an income breakdown video in the near future to discuss this kind of stuff in more detail. As always I can’t say thank you enough to all of you that watch and support my channel! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me on IG or via the email on my channel page if you want to learn more about how I run things. I want this to be an open community of like-minded people! 👍

I started with the BCE and Savor because of the high value simplicity. With almost no effort I was getting 3% back on the majority of my spending, including the very rarely covered entertainment category. Add in the $84 per year on Disney, the truly insane Uber benefits, AND no foreign transaction fee for the Savor, this is a high value low maintenance combo.

Do any of these cash back cards allow you to take your reward out as actual cash to be deposited in your bank account instead of simply receiving them as a statement credit?

THE BIGGEST PROBLEM I see with these card discounts for GROCERY STORES is that MOST of them DO NOT INCLUDE stores like Walmart, Sam's Club, Costco
BUT they DO NOT NAME the stores they DO consider, have only seen Kroger mentioned
What about SAVE-A-LOT, ALDI, PUBLIX, DOLLAR STORE, DOLLAR GENERAL, WINN-DIXIE ???
I was a big fan of the PayPal card but no more. They reduced their cash back to 1.5%. will have to look into Citi
@travis1240I’m running the Capital One SavorOne for my 10% Uber/UberEats, 8% CapOne entertainment, 5% hotels/rentals, 3% dining, groceries, entertainment & streaming. Then I’m running the Navy Federal Credit Union cashRewards for my 1.75% catch all & then my Discover It for 5% on rotating categories. My 3 card setup has earned me $640 in cashback in just under a year.
@JumpFloater4I am grateful I have the top 2 credit cards!!!
@kljamisonHey Daniel, what do you think of Bilt Credit card?
@poojaparisSo you’re telling me I can go through all the trouble of spending extra money just to get cash back to equal about $500/yr with some of these cards? I could just work a few extra shifts and not spend JUST to get the benefits of a credit card and save even more money.
Yes makes alot of sense.
Just got my Amex blue cash everyday
@StaticOz_I have an Apple credit card and get 2% everywhere I use Apple pay. I just opened a high yield savings with Apple at 4.50% and my Cashback automatically goes into that account. So if I am not wrong, after a month that cash back is turning into 6.50%.
@MrOldeastdallasI have a TD Bank Cash Card it's really good at getting me cash back on a 3%-2%-1%. It is never mentioned by most YouTube channels however Adam Jesico from ProudMoney has brought it up as a recommendation because it can be easy to get for existing bank customers. TD Bank is mainly on the East Coast and Canada. They have a 2% Double Up card but you have to link it to a TD Bank account with direct deposit. When I got the Secure Card they had annual fee that they dropped in 2022.
The YouTube problem other than Proudmoney are making videos to their generation. So small medium size regional banks that have their own credit card never get mentioned either. A regional bank could be the best place to start for anyone to start or restart or build up credit on their own.
😳 Doing some research on the citi custom cash card to know forsure to get it
@JTeeLockedInYou should look at the Cash Plus Visa Signature Card from US Bank
@TylerLyman-h8nYou should look at the Cash Plus Visa Signature Card from US Bank
@TylerLyman-h8nCan You Make A Video Showing What The Best Cash Back Video For Property Tax …. And Best Cash Back Card For Utilities
@JUNE-xn1qzGreat Video …. ? What Cash back Card Do You RecommendTo Pay Property Tax …. I Was Thinking The Citi Custom Cash , But I Heard That I Won’t Get The 5% Cash Back …
@JUNE-xn1qzI just got the Citi DC and it’s offering $200 cash back after $1,500 in purchases in the first 6 months!
@Mrknow2552723 FICO score and I got denied for the citi 5% cash back card wtf? I only have one credit card with no rewards or anything with a $250 balance and I regularly pay it off
@mikem2022Does anyone know what actually counts as a grocery store? I usually only shop at Walmart but it seems like most cards won’t reward purchases there—is foodmaxx an accepted store for the CapitolOne Savor One for example?
@kayannushpillai8676Didn’t even know you had affiliate link for the Capital One SavorOne Rewards I just applied to it just a few days ago and got approved for a $5K starting limit. Cant wait to start using it for all the food spending I do, plus my streaming services and entertainment it’s gonna do me wonders for the cash back since it’s already covering more areas my other cards don’t and the extra 5% for travel and 8% rates for Capital one entertainment portal don’t hurt either.
@jonathanellison7066Discover “IT” card is 5x’s better that Citi “Double”. Citi customer service is absolutely horrendous
@Sup_bro_1Why no mention of the U.S. Bank Cash+ credit card? Personally, I don't like this card for the following three reasons but I really can't think of any other credit card which gives 5% cashback on utilities and most people have at least one utility expense in one form or another.
1) A minor drawback with this card is that if you want a cashback redemption, you have to have a U.S. Bank account, otherwise you'll have to settle for a statement credit.
2) A medium drawback with this card is that there's a $25 minimum redemption.
3) A major drawback with this card is that your cashback rewards expire after 3 years. I see this as a major drawback because for example, if you've earned $5 in cashback and a better cashback card comes along, you either have to keep using this card until you reach the $25 minimum redemption or lose your $5 earned cashback if you don't intend to use this card after 3 years.
Credit card offers 3% off grocery bills with max $20 (marketing campaign). If 3% of $100 of grocery bills gives you $3 cash back, thus ($20/3)= 6.67 to then multiplied by $100= ~$660 (total grocery bills). Then you can set phone reminder on the date to stop using the card and switch to other providers for other cash back. This is what happens when you are educated and have some free time. :P
@Jianfa88TsaiPayPal MasterCard has 2% to 3% non category spend
@TobyMayne1Hi Daniel! Thank you so much for always giving us straightforward and informative content. You've changed my game plan on how I use my credit cards and I have better control over my finances!
@jordann7832The cashback feature on credit cards is like a tempting drug, designed to make us addicted to spending. Banks profit from the transaction fees, while we enjoy cash rewards in our bank accounts or credit statements every month. It's hard to resist the allure of cashback, and I find myself actively seeking opportunities to use my credit card. But is this a good thing? It's a mixed bag. While we benefit from the extra cash, we must be cautious not to let our addiction control us. It's all about finding a balance between enjoying the rewards and maintaining responsible spending habits. Stay mindful and make the most of this enticing credit card feature!
@dbest4755Capital One does a hard pull on all three credit bureaus. All of the other banks do not do this. This is something you should have stated. It does make a difference in your Fico Score.
@mariobruno8085I have the Venmo credit card! So far love it. Any thoughts?!
@mildredtanquary236Great vid. Time stamps would be amazing tho
@ANARCHY-nr2lqThe Capital One Savor is good but the only way to redeem your earned cash on the card is to have a personal check mailed to you as opposed to wire transferring the funds from your card to your bank account. And it takes 2-3 weeks to get the money to arrive to your address. Discover It is a good cash back card in my opinion. You should have added it to this video. Other than that, great video. I plan on getting the Chase Freedom Unlimited as my next cash back credit card.
@Alessandro1983America the government and Credit Card companies are stealing $50-$100 from every Credit Card every month. It is a scam and you cannot see it coming. Start adding everything on a Calculator and you will see they are stealing your money.
@Dave-rz5wlCan someone please add timestamps.
@jamesfreeman7954I am watching this video to compare Mexican credit cards and american credit cards and american are way better; most of them with a sign up bonus and no annual fee, that is amazing!
@JonnyViciusPunkDo points from the Chase Amazon card transfer to other Chase cards?
@ChaceRehbergReally good video. Nice job.
@EasyPathFinancialBut doesn’t PayPal charge you a 2.9% transaction fee? Doesn’t that defeat the purpose?
@Cubclub85Is the US bank Cash plus not good? I have never heard you mention it before from the videos I’ve watched.
@moreypGreat piece of content sir. Keep up the amazing work.
