Thank you to Let's Be Friends Afghanistan for your kindness and gifting me this trip and the opportunity to meet so many lovely people in your country. Check them out here:

Afghan women are without access to education. They are not allowed to express joy. They are not allowed to be filmed. I made the decision to not secretly film them. Out of respect for their wishes that were personally shared with me during our conversations, and out of concern for the safety of the people I was with. If you, like myself, think this is an injustice, you can contribute to organisations that are doing all they can, given the current circumstances. My favourite (female run) org is here: https://malala.org/countries/afghanistan

While I cannot return to the country after publishing this, I hope the anger you feel for the injustices these women face - and the men who love and protect them, who don't set the rules, but are bound by the grim consequences of breaking them - will cause you to assist, financially or otherwise.

This just goes to show that the average citizens of a country are often not a reflection of the ugly parts of their government. We should always keep this in mind when we hear anything about a country.

I want to witness the time when every woman in society is completely self-reliant, capable of making her own decisions, and moves forward in every field solely on the basis of her merit, hard work, and capability. Similarly, men should also stand on the exact same ground, free from any privileges or prejudices.
When both sides compete with equal opportunities, equal responsibilities, and equal accountability, the debates, disagreements, and dialogues that follow will be far more meaningful. They will not be based on emotions, stereotypes, or special privileges, but on logic, facts, capability, and performance.
True equality does not just mean the equality of rights, but also the equal acceptance of duties, responsibilities, and outcomes. The day society reaches this level of equality, the relationship between men and women will not be one of competition, but of mutual respect and cooperation. Perhaps that will be the era where a person's value is determined not by their gender, but by their character, thoughts, and actions.

I’m Māori and we eat rice milk and sugar as a desert lol. But my kids would love it everyday if they could. His message did make me cry. He could’ve said anything but all he wants is people to be kind.

With the recent, revolting reporting of child marriages rising in Afghanistan by 25% since 2021, and with the reporting that Al-Qaeda and the Bin Ladens are being given safe haven there once again, with the constant guerrilla Warfare against Pakistan, I will never step foot in that country to give a dime to the diabolical regime of fanatics running it. They can hate me and my country for nothing, if the Senate were not paying them millions a year for fake aid relief that's being given to terrorists.

Don't say I didn't wan you; War is coming to the West from Afghan soil once again whether we like it or not. The intelligence is sobering and clear that another 9/11, if not something worse, is on our doorstep. The question is how soon will it happen, and if the damage done will bring us to a breaking point.

Just sad how they treat their women. In islam I've heard that the entrance or the gate of heaven is under your moms feet. A mother who give life to all these people and this is how you treat her. Making her invisible. God would never approve of this.

I'm pretty sure if you would have been a muslim woman from any arab or muslim country, you would have been treated differently. Most specifically with their extreme view of our religion, where the woman is expected to be submissive. I am aware that I can be biased since I never went there, please share me your thoughts.

The way they treat foreigners reminds me so much of North Korea

US it’s not just the cops walking around with guns and I’d say the majority you can’t see, which is even more dangerous

@josephveditz7119

Funny because I bet if you were in Gaza hanging with Oalestinians you would’ve been held at gunpoint by illegal settlers. And we are told “they” are the terrorist

I feel like a lot of the men might also be scared of the Taliban, everyone sounded very nice to you guys, but you can tell that some of the people were actually genuine, they weren't putting on a front. It's sad for women and everyone who doesn't wanna live that way 😢

@ThisisfineNOT
@

Isnt that what Yall Allah wants lmao . 20 woman. All in de kitchen, as islam predicts😂😂😂😂

@SmoOthhSmiile
@

It’s so sad because many many years ago women were allowed to walk and be free. As we can see the people there are very nice and welcoming but the authorities show a different picture of the people. Obviously many don’t want to live like this but are forced to. I hope it can be a free Country again because the people there deserve it 🍀

@emyyliv

Looks like a lot of the men seemed to not like it either , js from her letting the guy talk about his dreams and how he really doesn’t wanna be in afganistan bc he can’t follow his dreams says a lot

Grew up in a Christian household and left in my teens because I didn’t truly believe and didn’t want to follow something I didn’t truly believe in.

I was Agnostic Theist, always believed in 1 God but didn’t know who that God was whether Buddha, Shiva, Jesus, etc.

Mom passed away in 2018 while I was studying in the Philippines and I felt depressed. I tried to self medicate smoking pot and cigarettes and drinking alcohol daily.

I came back to the US from the Philippines early 2020 because I wanted to help my dad out who retired and didn’t have much savings. Shortly after around 2 months we got kicked out from a place we stayed at, and a woman who led a Bible Study that my dad attended and her husband allowed us to stay at their place.

She talked about Jesus and she was serious, I was drawn to why she was so serious because I met a lot of Christians who weren’t and reconsidered if I missed something in Christianity.

She led me to the Lord and I asked Jesus in my head “Jesus if You are who You say You are, if You are God please reveal Yourself to me and I will follow You”. Suddenly felt God’s presence which is the Holy Spirit powerfully outside of my belly and actually enter my belly, and go up to my jaw and I started speaking in tongues.

Addictions dropped, I wanted to pursue Holiness instead of self-gratification and read the Bible. I never was the same again.

Confirmed what I thought. Women have been erased. Reduced to property. Your trip was in a world of men. Reminiscent of Jane Fonda’s visit to Vietnam & how she reported prisoners of war were treated well. NOT.

@henthrone

Taliban is filled with a bunch of little pussies who are scared of women.

@karabadasski2521
@

21:39 then why don't they show this kindness to their own family (women) 🤡

@itaws9767
@

I want to travel all over the world but I will never visit this country! She is saying they’re so nice, to a white woman of course, but they treat their own woman bad. You don’t see any woman or little girls around. All you see are men and boys…..this is so sad! Men are something else!

@mel_luvs2travel322

Wow. I would be so curious to see if theres a different reaction to a melanated tourist woman in these environments...

@melinda_098-m2q
@

É curioso como eles tentam conversar com ela, tentam se aproximar mesmo sabendo que é proibido para mulheres se aproximar deles, tentam ser amigáveis com ela mas não são amigáveis com as mulheres do país deles

@melinda_098-m2q
@

Probably they never saw a woman's faces so they interact with you nicely and I'm damn sure that men are the reason women lose their dignity and identity in afganistan couse men had no restriction at all they are living their life freely so they are not bothered by anyone's basic rights.... whatever u say I don't see a single woman in this video......so how can I believe the words that coming out this ppl.

@amie9090-c1c
@

Seems so dystopian to be this “friendly” but not actually care about their own women?! 😭

Muslim women have rights ، What the Taliban are doing to women is not part of Islam, and they do not represent Islam at all

2 kings 14: 6-7

However, he did not kill the children of the assassins, for he obeyed the command of the Lord as written by Moses in the Book of the Law: “Parents must not be put to death for the sins of their children, nor children for the sins of their parents. Those deserving to die must be put to death for their own crimes.”
