I drove through every single town on this list, and some of them genuinely rattled me. We're talking about the town where the earth swallowed a man alive in his sleep (and the hole has reopened TWICE since), the retirement paradise where golf-cart DUIs and a golf-cart chop shop are actual problems, the city designed to look like Arabian Nights where raw sewage flooded a street called Aladdin, and the sugarcane town where black ash falls from the sky for six months every year.
This is the 12 most hated towns in Florida, counted down from mildly cursed to absolutely unhinged. #2 is a place your grandma might be planning to retire to right now.
The Villages is also Maga Central they have MAGA golf cart parades with Trump flags ect and if you disagree with them God Help You.

@CherylEhrhart-s5xI live in Pensacola for 23 years. Trust me there are drugs and crime. The rent was $450 now $1200 a month. Roaches rats and military everywhere. Some things look like paradise but not so. We have sink holes too. The beautiful beaches are expensive

@marciamackey3822idiotic video, not because these 12 communities are good, but because they aren't "hated". They aren't hated because almost no one goes anywhere near many of them. No one thinks about them, no one goes there, no one knows much about them other than they aren't attractive--so therefor they are not "hated". Hated requires people to have at least some involvement with the town...and towns like Pahokee, Belle Glade, Homestead, Florida City, Opa Locks, etc, are simply avoided. Now The Villages...that can qualify as "hated" . Not by me, but by some.

@austinturberville2578If you had actually visited Kissimmee, you'd know how to pronounce it. Also, Lake City is located where I-75 crosses US90, not where it crosses I-10. I-10 and I-75 is several miles north of Lake City and there is nothing at that interchange - in fact, you can't exit either Interstate where they intersect.

@scottcummings7704I don't know where they got these statistics but I live in lake City and the numbers they are using for this pertain to the people that travel through here because it's known as the gateway to Florida but to let you know a little secret lake City is about 10 miles from the i-75 I-10 interchange so most of the crime that comes through this town does not happen on a daily basis and as far as drug trafficking they don't come through lake City they catch them on i-75 and I-10 interchange which is 10 mi away but they inflate the numbers based on travelers coming through on I-10 and i-75 and mind you this only happens during holidays like spring break summer vacation Thanksgiving Christmas you name it but a large majority of those people that travel and come through here don't ever stop they keep on driving and they'll get pulled over or whatever and they'll be in the county That lake City is a part of so those numbers are added to lake city's crime numbers so that's why everything looks wrong so whatever you hear about the crime rate in lake City It is false trust me I've been here 40 something years ..... Here is the official crime statistics for this city......Lake City’s official crime rate is approximately 53 incidents per 1,000 residents. However, official statistics do not separate crimes committed by travelers or separate county figures from city limits. Because of this, localized crime statistics are not formally disaggregated to exclude crimes involving non-residents or the surrounding county.
