The quirky, unnecessary gravity explanation elicited a warm smile nonetheless.
A smile that was to be swiped away the very next second with the stated artwork upsetting students for dated nomenclature apparently.
It's an enlightening piece of public artwork and for it to upset those arbiters of future thought, students and the students of the famously radical LSE, is a rare thing indeed.
It's an artwork from 2019 and not a wayfinder for passing Magellans and Columbuses!
The blinkered bright young things would do well to aim their bleats of outrage at the current Mercator's Projection map of the world with its inaccurately sized land masses and can't win naming and renaming of various territories and gulfs according to whose soil your feet are in when viewing the map!

Road-level crossing perhaps, at a stretch, but pedestrian crossing or zebra crossing (not this one here though) or pelican crossing (old name for one with traffic lights) are there to be used.
Level crossings are roads crossing railway tracks at ground level and protected by lights, sirens and gates or barriers.

5:05 Note the shiny nose Paddington has gained from countless reassuring gentle pats from passersby.
The protruding boot also shines hidden away in the middle of the middle platform. This Bronze is of the great engineer of Victorian times, Brunel who happened to have built this station and basically invented the iron hulled propellor driven ocean going vessels one of which brought Paddington Bear halfway around the world to London from deepest darkest Peru, of course.

@teslasulu6305I'm a born and bred Londoner who lives and work in this city. I've travelled and currently deep diving extensively into Paris as planning my first trip in 8 years. I've been watching a lot of Paris content from various creators and this video alone of London reminds me how beautiful and interesting London is and dare I say, surpasses Paris. It's never lost on me that when I'm in central london, the history that envelopes me is huge and i always appreciate it. I've visited Paris a large amount of times. What's missing from London today is its once brilliant nightclub scene.

@marshallmadeThis is such a useful and well-presented video. I live near London, but I've visited the tourist spots over and over. I have been struggling to find a good local guide.
Being me, I have 'criticism', the church is Victorian Gothic Revival, which is a copy of Gothic. Still beautiful, but there are many real Medieval Gothic examples in London to visit, the most famous being Westminster Abbey. Picky, I know, I know but Gothic is my passion. 😫
But I will be visiting all your places. I have lived for 52 years and never known about most of these places. 🙂
Info, GF Watts who made the memorial to incredible people, and his amazing wife (artist and desigher) lived between Guildford and Farnham in Surrey (less than an hour from London). Their home and chappel, and studios are now a museum. Well worth a visit. His art was very striking. Worth looking up. It's in a village so would be a taxi from the station, if going by rail.
Really clear and practical breakdown helped me think differently about retention strategies for creators!
