48 Hours Eating Houston’s Most LEGENDARY Food!
Video Overview & Insights
I went to Houston, Texas to find the best food in one of America’s most underrated food cities.
I used to work for the A/C company that maintains & services all Killens restaurants & his properties. It was nice to be able to skip the lines during lunch time since we were working on their rooftop A/C units lol hope you're a Houston Texans fan for life btw lol
This city is pure Texas. Smoke pouring out of BBQ pits, unbelievable Tex-Mex, some of the best Indian food in the country and a food culture built by generations of immigrants who turned Houston into one of the most diverse cities in America.
I started at Truth BBQ for some of the best Texas BBQ I’ve ever had. Proper smoked brisket, insane bark, homemade sausages and barbecue done with ridiculous attention to detail.
Like your video. If you ever come back to Houston, you should try Triple Js off 610 east & 59 north AND Mico’s Hot Chicken in the Heights
Then I headed to Brothers Tacos, a legendary Houston breakfast taco spot serving fresh tortillas loaded with bacon, eggs, potato and incredible homemade salsa.
After that I visited Aga’s, the biggest Indian restaurant in America. Massive portions, incredible curries, buttery naan and some of the best Pakistani and Indian food in Texas.
Buy ranch dressing MIX! Hidden Valley Ranch makes the mix and all you do is add 1 cup mayonnaise and 1 cup whole milk… whisk together and refrigerate. That’s it!
Then I stopped at El Patio for old-school Tex-Mex. The kind of place that feels frozen in time. Fajitas, enchiladas, queso and classic Houston comfort food.
And finally I finished at Killen’s BBQ for more world-class Texas barbecue, smoked low and slow in true Houston style.
The worst sh1t hole city in tx besides Dallas and especially Waco
Houston might not get the hype of New York, Los Angeles or Miami… but after this trip, I genuinely think it’s one of the best food cities in America.

Oh dude, how could you do 2 BBQ spots but completely skip Viet, Viet-Cajun, and Persian food? 😭 Could've skipped one of the BBQ spots if you wanted to showcase the true diversity in Houston.
09:16 - Aga's Restaurant: Exploring Indo-Pak flavors
10:05 - The legendary goat chops
Welcome anytime my English amigo

Indian food has zero to do w Texas cuisine
@Jamedia66Met my wife at the El Patio bar called Club No Minor 35 years ago. Great place, great food and deadly margaritas, a great combination.
@Willytvirgin9:24 literally walking distance from me. It’s probably some of the best Desi food in Houston, and if you asked for me or Raul, we could have gotten you a discount. The area is the prostitution capital, many documentaries on it, so I hope you got a room anywhere else, and north a few blocks on Beechnut, you’d hear gunshots 3 times a week. Not the best area, but not even close to the worst.
@Houd_VastWrong home of BBQ is actually the Carolinas . North and South Carolina . It was brought there from the West Indies
@liselottnelson5479Seeing British people around the Batonrouge and Houston area is so interesting to me, most of my life I have lived between both of these states, it’s a normal way of life for us. Also,the Indian man is exactly right, Houston has a massive amount of diversity for food. It’s quite amazing! I was going to say that you missed out on the Indian food. Most people do but you hit it right on the head. Good on ya! I did live in Europe when I was a young kid for about seven years. I went to a British school so I know what most British people assumed about Americans. The irony is, most southern Americans don’t see the British like that at all, we see them as a long lost cousin or an unrelated brother. It’s hard to explain but most people in the south are going to be very friendly and nice to Brits. Enjoy the south and your vacation, we enjoy you guys being here!
@fandore12Aga’s is one of my favorites❤❤❤
@riaavelar8491NEX T TIME WHEN YOU TALK ABOUT THE OUTSKIRTS OF HOUSTON DONT USE FOOTAGE OF YOU DRIVING IN
@danielsmith635News Flash!
ALL airport retail stores and venders are currently stocking up on TSA approved condiments (all Ranch varieties), various snacks, and pre-boarding fast food meals, in anticipation of massive rush on these items before leaving America.
Thankfully you can get great breakfast tacos all over the Houston area they are perfect for breakfast in a hurry
@scottdarden3091Taste of Texas #2 Restaurant in the country according to YELP 😊
@scottdarden3091Just an FYI, It's not "Who-stun" it's pronounced "HEW-stun"
@Zoltan-d1rI love watching Europeans eat our BBQ. Probably one of my favorite past times.
@reddoorproductions5470You can actually buy El Patio chips in HEB in Texas cuz they're so awesome.
@anthonyorsiniThe fact that you didn't hit any Vietnamese means you gotta come back. Houston is so massive; we say Houston is an hour away from Houston. You'll probably do little Saigon and Nifa's next time I'm sure...
@AlbertDoesAIThat's club nominer. They misspelled it back in the 90's
@robgracey6003El Patio is very low on the totem pole for Mexican food.
@ProblemChild-xk7ixFelix's opened in 1929. My grandparents went there when they were young. It BURNED down, it didn't close its doors.
@maryhiggins6783Houston is THE most diverse city in the entire country! We are a foodie city! Welcome and enjoy your stay!!!!!! If you are craving a pub, High O'Connor's on Dincans is great.. Birdies Den on Richmond is an amazing bar!
@maryhiggins6783I live 3 minute away from El Patio. Next time check out the food trucks around the corner!!
@Prettygirl123-s7dAs a world traveler, Houston has the best food on the entire planet. No other place is as diverse. It of course has the southern food influence, but it has 1st generational migrants from around the world, TX BBQ, central and south American influence, Louisiana cajun influence, seafood from litterally being 2 hours from the ocean, a strong Chinese, Korean, and Japanese imigrant reputation. We have a very large Vietnamese population. We have old world polish and German settlers that continued their traditions. We have greek and Arab folk 1st gen migrants running food trucks... im gonna stop rambling, but Houston has the best food in the world. There is no other place with our level of quality and diversity. I will never leave
@ArchamediesIndian food is good because is cooked by Mexicans 😅
@RodolfoReyesBaezEvery time we’re in Houston we hit the bar at Doris Metropolitan for a drink, the bread, and the grilled octopus!!! ❤ Truth is absolutely delicious! I make a copycat of their Tator tot casserole! It’s so delicious and worth the trip itself! Haha! We understand! Texans love their chips and hot sauce!
@adigmon130$ 🫠
@garic25I am pleased to announce that the Arsenal Title challenge comment aged like sour milky😂😂
@KkutD07Im late to this video, new viewer here. And I would like to extend another invitation to our beautiful city, HOUSTON. as a Mexican Houstonian, I'm glad you got to try some... Some of the great foods here. But next time. Stay longer and explore more. You won't regret it. Thank you for the beautiful sentiment of my city. Come back soon. Much love from Houston TX.
@DaniHiryuYou have to try kolaches in Houston too. Texas style, not the sweet Czech kolaches. It’s Houston’s signature pastry
@HoustonExpSuch interesting flavours
@GodtierfootballI used to have brothers every morning on my way to the office. The best 👌
@renescocina9199Brothers taco house! Nice restaurant selection. Glad you made it to agas. Greatest food ever... And El patio... What a callback. I feel like killens gets overlooked these days since the explosion of pitmasters on the scene, but i do love their beef ribs and brisket. Nicely done
@sohailakmal3384This was a great tour Sir. Also you did barely scratch the surface. We. Love. Food. In the city.
Don't go to anyone's home... You might never leave The H. We cook like THAT!
We need more Brits in Sugar Land. You folks really know how to appreciate the diversity in our food culture.
@charlesrocksRespect for the Texans hat! 🫡 we’ll see ya’ll in London!
@ProductOfTheHYou gotta hit up Trill Burgers next time
@ht_austinI live near Bothers Tacos and I promise you, Monchys had better tacos. Their corn tortillas are amazing.
@kathryn3466Best fried shrimp and chicken fried steak at barbeque inn Yale at crosstimbers
@RichardWarfield-n5vUmmm....no seafood, no fried chicken, no "chicken fried" steak, no non-"chicken fried" steak, no Cajun food, no Vietnamese food, no Salvadoran/Honduran food, no West African food, no Middle Eastern food? Was this guy even in Houston? 😜
Also, Truth BBQ is in the Heights and is about 3 miles from Downtown Houston, not 30 miles.
The tacos are for sure 10 out of 10😊😊😅
