I'm French and this is how you should spend 48 hours in Paris!
This is a nice channel. Can someone help me understand the tendency to state the obvious in an emotionally flat way. Not the best example, but 5:12 "One thing is if you're at the top of the Eiffel tower you can't see the Eiffel tower". I think I've had other Europeans do this, there are better examples in other videos that are more subtle, where there's some cultural difference, language difference and not being a native english speaker, or they think foreigners are dumb because of cultural differences. What is it?
It seems like maybe both a cultural difference of not feeling a desire/knowledge of where/when/how to insert positive vibes when saying something that's probably obvious to the listener, and not having a strong sense of what is common sense for a standard English speaker. Ah, right, she clarified what Michelin stars were in another video, and I had a similar moment, why are you telling me this obvious fact 98%+ of people know as if I'm a kid in a very straight forward long winded flat way?
This is what I personally recommend my friends who are visiting Paris for the first time or just want to see the city like a local with what to do and what to skip!

This is what’s wrong with the world if you’re gonna go to Paris for 48 hours this is insanity so everybody needs to stay at home. OK it’s enough. This is madness madness. Civilization has gone down the tubes because people rushed here and there this is insane. You need to stop.

@aadirao9401Another way to get around Paris is by city bus. It is much slower than the Metro, but you can see everything along the way and get off if something looks interesting.

@kladickaYou should probably mention getting reservations to visit some of the most. Popular sites. My son-in-law didn’t do that and missed most of the best sites. ( and he didn’t speak French) My daughter and her whole family are fluent and got reservations for all the important sites when she went with her kuds, who also speak French.

But I wouldn't think of not going to the D'Orsay -- one of the most incredible art museums on this planet.
In my. opinion, and obviously I haven't been to every one of the 20,000 restaurants in Paris, but I believe Bistro Instinct, in the North of le Marais, is one of the best I've ever eaten at, anywhere on earth.

@RamishSaderWalking anywhere is rewarding. Great stores abound. Most people are helpful but I do use French. Marais yes. But it has become very touristy. Only one area is horrible Latin quarter ugh

@robear54Visited in 2023 thinking Oct is a safe month not overcrowded but I did not know the World Rugby Cup was on and half the world came... it was a last moment decision 4 nights stay and by fluke we stayed at loveley commune Rueil-Malmaison what a treasure ❤ By fast train you in thr city center in 20min where we walked everywhere returnig to the lovely commune for dinner and walks. Morning was coffee and whatever we chose at the local bakery and hitting the city .... Rueil-Malmaison highly recommended as a base. Later I read about it's history very interesting.

the weather is depressing tbh its always cloudy.. I loved paris whenever sun was shining.. and it wasnt so cold. happy times there <3
@hrishav.ranjanI can't believe the prices! I was there in 2016 and me and my wife had to decide to either have lunch or dinner, based on a casual stroll down the hotel street and bumping into a 260 euro lunch for two.
