5.2 EARTHQUAKE in the middle of a BEE REMOVAL

What a cute playhouse, I would have loved one of those as a kid. I hope the home owners rebuilt the castle afterwards perhaps for grandkids. Heck, even as an adult I would love a little "She-Castle" as an office space for me. ^_^

Can I ask what you do with the honey comb and the brood etc. we never see you put it in boxes or anything just the bees

I wonder how the bees and rat responded to the earthquake. I figure most animals must sense them before we do. Saw my cat come in my room and cram himself against the wall on my bed right before a fairly big shake once. That was super weird. It felt like the ground was gelatinous. It was my first and only bigger earthquake, in Melbourne Australia. Apparently, we get them sometimes in the southern parts of Australia, but they're tiny, so you hardly ever notice. Bigger ones are rare here.

How do hives with multiple queens even survive?

Living in San Diego county earthquakes are so common that I've probably slept through more earthquakes than the number of earthquakes most people in the country has felt in their lifetime lol.

IIt was the size of a Shetland piney I agree with the person who said surround him with bees in a rickety structure shaken over 5 on the R scale then what else can happen.

That was one brave-ass rat to run right through an agitated beehive! He got away, but BIG MOMMA(s) did not!

I'm a geologist and my special interest is earthquakes. However, I also have a fear of bees! Being in a structure like that with multiple beehives sounds like an absolute nightmare. You would probably survive the structure collapse but the bees? The BEES!?!
Imagine you get pinned under some rubble and end up getting stung to death! Fucking horrifying!
