👨 About the host Julien Delagrange:

This is a joke. I am laughing.

— @EdouardBManoukian

Julien Delagrange is an art historian, contemporary artist, and the founder and director of CAI. Delagrange studied Science of Arts at Ghent University, Belgium, and worked for the Centre for Fine Arts (BOZAR) in Brussels, the Jan Vercruysse Foundation, the Ghent University Library, and has contributed to the international contemporary art scene as an art critic, lecturer, curator, gallery director, consultant, advisor, and as an artist. As an artist, he is represented by Galerie Sabine Bayasli in Paris, France, and Gallery Space60 in Antwerp, Belgium.

🎯 The mission of the CAI YouTube channel:

I can’t wait until there is highly regarded art that is also nice to look at.

Also, I am impressed at the gobbledygook that passes for explanations about these artworks. It doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. I guess it’s a good use of AI because I could never come up with such nonsense. 😆

— @fruitypebbles803

→ To empower artists by providing adequate and industry-approved advice for artists for long-term success in the highest realms of the art world, sharing inside information and proven strategies based on real-life experiences in the art world.

→ To contribute to the online canonization of recent art history, having its finger at the pulse of contemporary art.

Incredible. Brilliance personified !!!

In a world moving fast towards independence and the rising insularity of citizens, I question WHY have you focused on gallery based art? The gallery no longer legitimises art in the 21st century- art is truly defined by the creator/curator and the viewer. We don't need the gallery to legitimise us anymore- only fund us.

Hmm....it seems like we've gone back to the womb. All of this is just a mix of already existing (and old, even amateurish) styles. It does very little for me. Maybe we're in the age of un-excitement.

You have great taste and appreciation for meditative practices which I appreciate. I have been following Dabin Ahn for a while, big fan. For future videos, can you feature young artists using cutting edge technology in their art? Thank you!

@giangbloom291

People in the comments are insufferable. It's a big self-report when you project your expectations of what art should be and your preferences. I believe these people are just making and a lot of it feels real, so your judgement on their work for being in a video about upcoming artists is just unnecessary. Get off your high-horse and enjoy people's art. Wonder how they did that and why other people may like what you dont.

Big crush on Oliver Bak. I love both his paintings and sculptures. I see influences from Klimt and Odilon Redon in his work, both in the themes he explores and in his style, but with a more modern and personal touch that I really enjoy. Thanks for this great video, and Happy New Year to you too! 3:29

Nothing really new, nothing really groundbreaking. Nothing really daring or memorable. Not even interesting. I didn’t see anything innovative. Based on what criteria are these specific artists presented in this video? I guess based on how galleries and generally the art system markets them. Having an exhibition in a “mega gallery” is an achievement, indeed, but it doesn’t always signifies good art. And arguably, the main component of what good art is, is the uniqueness. Unique vision, unique style, unique signature. I didn’t see any of them in this video.
