visited once and kept going back. by far Cluj-Napoca (for its beauty, youtfhful feel and cultural/music festivals, undoubtedly #1), Sibiu, Brasov and Timisoara are the best cities, but go to Sighisoara which is something like the longest continually inhabited medieval town in Europe. I'm thinking about retiring in Romania, then Costa Rica or Spain January to March
🔎 EXCERPT 🔎
Why Romania might be the best country for you.
Tier pronounced like tear 😢
I will also show you the not-so-good part, the cons, of moving to retire in Romania
And by the end of this video, you will discover 3 cities where you can live a good life
Is not a good country anymore. Political corruption is endemic. Bureaucracy is everywhere. Prices are going up. The country is on the way out from EU. Thanks to Mr Grindeanu and Simion.
spending for an entire year, what you would spend in 3 months in the US.
Let’s begin with the pros of living and retiring in Romania.
The first one is their remarkable improvement in quality of life and economic conditions
In 1995, Romania was one of the poorest countries in Europe
Retire in a country plagued by corruption, unhealthy services and war at the borders. Surrounded by nations ready to explode. Governed by a communist elite. With people ready to kill for anything.
With a per capita income of just $1,650 a year, it was far poorer than Serbia or Bulgaria.
Less than 30 years later, in 2022, their income skyrocketed almost 10 times, to nearly 16,000 dollars per year,
Cheapest country?!?! I don't know about that.... But keep telling yourself that 😊
leaving both Serbia and Bulgaria far behind!
But the income per capita was not the only thing that improved in Romania
Easy language? Romanian is not easy. It has limited vocabulary but I do not see how that makes things easier, because you have to learn how they express themselves.
Healthcare has improved,
Infant mortality was reduced to levels similar to the United States
What the hell are you about Romania is expensive now.
Unemployment is quite low
and life in general is much better,
Thank you! It is save and cheep. Only some of our compatriots see the oposite...
Low taxes, cheep services, average prices and beutiful places.
to the point that alcohol consumption is quickly declining- although it might still be considered high.
Nowadays, western Romanians have a quality of life similar to Hungarians or Croatians.
If your retired....health insurance will kill u
They are no longer the poor country that was forgotten in the past, but a modern, growing economy.
A peculiar fact that translates to how fast Romania is developing is its impressive internet infrastructure.
Idk in which country this man lives but clearly not in Romania. Prices aren't cheap at all, in fact, if you want to eat good and have a good life, not super good but good, you pay same prices as in Germany or other similar country. Doctors in Private cheap? For who? One impacted wisdom tooth is like 250 euros or 200 euros, one laparoscopic surgery is like 4000 euros, without hospitalization. You come and invite others to settle in....stay in your place man!
They have one of the fastest internet speeds in the world,
and all that thanks to the post-communist reforms that opened the market to internet providers and stimulated competition
Terrible English
It is quite the opposite of what happened in Greece, which favored monopolies, and surprise surprise - has very bad internet speed.
And since we are talking about reforms that allowed private investment in certain sectors, this is directly related to our next pro.
It's a country where the elderly and the sick are treated like animals. I'm NOT advising you, they are elderly people who died like dogs in shelters.
Private Healthcare in Romania is good and very, very affordable.

Is it good place to start a small business ?
@GTtravel4life"among the safest countries in the world"... Following the Numbeo Safety Index by Country 2025, Romania's ranking is 37th
@raffaelloschirinzi2072Bro, why not consider places like Zhaoqing in Guangdong, Guangzhou, Kunming in Yunnan, or Chengdu in Sichuan? The environment's splendid, and the infrastructure is so robust it'll astonish you. A six-hour high-speed rail journey can whisk you 1,000 kilometres away. The variety of cuisines is in the tens of thousands, making it utterly unforgettable. As for the cost of living, it's far lower than in the US – you can get by with just your mobile for payments. The only drawback is you'll need to pick up a bit of Mandarin.
@Shepard.JIf your income is from the US you can’t get a mortgage loan in Romania
@Romania_21Forget it if you’re Hungarian.
@sylviamdallos2202Rural France for just a little more. Greed is everywhere.
@evp-nycJust found this video. My biggest challenge is finding out how we can retire to Romania? It doesn't seem like there is a clear path to residency. Does anyone know more?
@reallifewithkids6913Looks like the Eastern European Hong Kong
@DJarry394Good presentation
@monicapauna4856Dream country 🇷🇴
@patrickawienze5636"Romanian" and "easy language" do not belong in the same sentence.
@theeasternmongooseWesterners have ruined their countries with woke/fascist policies and now are trying to ruin Eastern Europe.
Sod off you westerner. Fix your shity woke nations
This guy is always exaggerated information. Romania is NOT cheaper than Bulgaria nor other E. European countries.
@natalias8305Excellent presentation , Bravo🙏💙🧘♂️
@robertjosanVery wrong ,no country is poore , are lots of resources in every country try ...its the sistem...
@Virginia-f2rIs US Social Security Pension taxed in Romania ?
@thaidawg9231romania is NOT cheap nor is romanian easy to learn bro 🙏😭
@zardrock13Cheap for non-romanians
@zetrinoThe best cities to live in are Timisoara, Cluj-Napoca, Oradea, Brasov, Sibiu, Constanta, Bucharest & Arad.
@Mr.E-f9eThe main problem is that Romanian boneheads like to complain a lot for no reason at all, as you can see in the Comment section! 🤣
@Mr.E-f9eIf you want cheap freedom and no guns, move to Romania, rural areas. Guns are allowed only for hunters, with permits easily obtained.
@CosminLexandruAlso i would say ARad, because it has the bext expansion and infrastructure in romania to live ine...the only reason the index is low is because peopl;e love to hate the person in charge and are football enthusiasths more that in the other regions...itds a history thing. basically Arad people fuck themselves over cause they dont like something, and it keeps repeating...
@sageata_verdethats why for almpost all purposes, move to Arad...you have highway and fast train service! what you said is only for the non transylvanian part of the country, aka bucharest craiova etc...come to transylvania you will see a different world
@sageata_verdePoor, corrupt, intolerant Eastern European failed state. If all the good men flee, it must be a dump!
