I have 4 tomato plants in pots on my deck .... according to this video, I did everything wrong. 😮
My pots are too small ... (the size of the dwarf tomato plant pot in this video) I used plain potting soil ....and never pre-watered it or stirred it like she did. . I water them once a day ... yes, I'm getting tomatoes 🍅 even though I did everything wrong and my pot is too small and never stirred my mud. 😅

So, you're treating this tomato as if it were a potato vine (adding soil as it grows) instead of just burying the stem at planting time...but then aren't you going to have to redo the drip hose every time you add soil? Makes no sense. And a five gallon pot for anything except a dwarf variety is only going to inhibit production. And what brownie recipe produces "crumbly batter"? Maybe I just didn't understand what you said there, but batter is never crumbly, by definition.

Tried To grow tomatoes last year NOT a success. I chopped the plant up and buried it in the pot. This year two little seedlings popped up. I have just fed, watered and mulched them. They are not in full sun but I figured they must like it where they are so I’ve left them where they are. Hope I get a decent fruiting this year. I’m in Western Australia and we will be starting our winter season in about a week. We don’t get frost or snow but we do get lots of wind and we either get no rain or it buckets down. My pot is free draining so should be all good. I also have seeds to plant in spring but hope something happens with these tiny seedlings.

Hi I have a question about Broccoli , i am growing different variety of broccoli , and with broccoli sprouts i put the domes on them at night and by morning and put cages on them so they can get sun , but at night i am worried cause at night bugs will devour my sprouts before they can grow, is there anyway i can avoid this ? especially with the others that are trying to grow ?

Some interesting ideas. Although I'm not sure your right about not adding garden soil (4:30), as long as it is done in proper proportions, there is nothing wrong with it. Your friend at The Rusted Garden channel uses it.

What can I put in the bottom 1/2 of my tomato pots? I'm about to plant some type of small tomatoes (plum? cherry?) in (two) large containers (got the big pots at Costco - no idea how many gallons, it doesn't say) which I've already drilled holes in the bottom of and covered with some screen material. I have homemade compost from vegetables / fruits which I'll mix with organic potting soil (60 or 70% soil, the rest compost), but I don't see the point of buying expensive organic potting soil to fill the entire pot with. I have heard that its not a good idea to use crushed aluminum cans / plastic bottles, etc. in the bottom for fill. Can I just use inexpensive potting soil from Home Depot, Lowe's, Dollar Tree, etc. for the bottom 1/2 of the pot? I'm in a townhouse in La Jolla, morning sun. Thanks!

WHERE TO FIND ME:
I cannot even after last frost date xfer the brandy wines to their 20-gallon pots due to high winds. They are far too big for little red sprouting cups. Is there too much risk to temporarily put them in the larger pots and then to their final 20 gallon grow bags. I used the Black Gold with some success. I added a bit of compose. Does not stay wet too long and PH is 6.5
