I would love a big garden to grow more food. I only have a tiny garden but I cram as much as I can into it. Loved watching all these wonderful gardens.

So I inspired by these beautiful gardens I got emotional! 🥲

I have lived self-sufficient and sustainable lifestyle, for more than fifty years. Our property = 4,000 edible and medicinal plants. I have taught thousands of people world wide. Now that I am aged, I still grow my own food. I have been making homemade bread for so long that nowadays, I can't even look at supermarket or bakery bread. Home grown - it the true and real flavour of food. Our life has been the 12 months harvest system. Never supermarkets. My husband passed away in 2024. And I am still keeping on with homegrown food. Passionfruit, cherry guava, pineapple, citrus, vegetables herbs etc. etc.

Fill bottom of raised beds with logs then brush. Logs will start acting like sponges when they break down and be source of moisture.

i learned alot of stuff been organic since the 80's but finding out about cloud spraying is killing the plants and bees we have to stop this genocide spraying look up the mount shasta snow pak reports they spray us like bugs with bio warfare let alone the billy boy GA making market sprays with ethylene and other chemicals to make veggies into rubber at the store good luck

You need a lot of space to grow food. No good if you have a small garden. All these gardens are big.

Oh to live in a land that actually rains. These are so beautiful!! In the foothills of Colorado it hails more than it rains. If I start anything in spring I have to have the expectation it'll probably be pummeled and broken by July, luckily tomatoes are pretty resilient. My sunflowers almost always get destroyed. Doesn't stop me from trying!! This is inspiration! I do have a really really good kitchen herb garden!

The chef needs to look at gardening on rooftops. You can also integrate the gardens into the dining spaces. We have a chain restaurant in the U.S. called Carrabba's Italian Grill that planted out their beds with herbs, but they did not maintain and use the plants at any location I have visited. It is a wonderful idea, just poorly executed. A passionate gardener / chef would make this beautiful.

Ive been devistated to not be growing food at home except a few pots I can manage with serious back injury.. Ive been putting things off til I recover, but just hearing this woman talk about her 1m high raised palette beds being so productive has given me so much hope again! No matter where I end up living or how well I end up recovering Im sure I can get one or ten of those set up to get things underway again. It hadnt occurred to me, although of course Ive seen them in the past for the elderly

This must seem a stupid question: I live in Sydney and I'm watching the watering of the garden in Scotland. Is there not enough natural rain to water the plants? Or is it a case of ensuring water at certain times, every day? Obviously, I am not a gardener. Clare

I was brought up in the town of Forres which is about 5 miles from Findhorn. This part of the world is one of the most productive agricultural areas in Scotland due to its very fertile soil and the Gulf Stream which flows past the area and give# it a mild climate.

I moved to Wales at the end of 2022 and have been creating a kitchen garden. I can honestly say, this is the most wholesome thing to do with your life <3 It is a beautifully slow process, fist i had to remove all the shit the previous owners left on/in the ground and then i created wonderful compost on the ground and started growing. From making my own compost, i then beccome part of the process and part of the land. My veg and flowers are abundant. Eating and cooking food, or just serving raw food, is the best in life, and the most pure form of being human. The most wonderful thing we can do as humans is to educate ourselves and grow food: share food, love and knowledge.
