Thank you so much, I know it’s late to comment as it was 5 yrs since this video was posted but I want to share what I’ve been experiencing. Lately I have been experiencing so much stress and anxiety because of social medias negative videos which made me over think a lot about my future if I’m still going to be alive or not. I’ve been crying almost everyday wanting to be comforted or hugged by at least someone. If I open up or tell at least one relative what im feeling/what im going through the might think im insane since im still a person in a young age. But im really glad people here on this side of the internet are facing similar things as me. Right now, im trying to heal from my anxiety and stress. and trying to cut out social media for a while. ❤

I haven't hugged anybody for almost 5 years now. I'm sad and lonely but I don't think anybody would want to listen to me so I won't say more.

@alexboulder1I just need to express myself to people that love me and care about me. It’s not normal to be in environments where you’re constantly misunderstood and manipulated. I don’t have many friends to talk to or people to hug but online communities are helping. 🩵

@KeshavKataria-j7dThe best thing you can do is fucking give up on people and learn to be alone because the truth is people are awful i don't care if no one believes it but if you're smart you'll know its true
@damnitJAThis video does a great job in highlighting those simple yet impactful habits. Each tip resonates with me deeply, I think not just because they’re backed by research, maybe because they are so easy to apply especially into daily life. Here’s some of my thoughts and personal reflections.
The topic about the importance of upright posture is a great reminder. I also personally noticed that when I consciously maintain a good posture whenever I’m working or reading, I feel that my focus and energy levels improve. This also makes it easier to breathe.
The point about practising positive thinking reminds me of this quote: “the mind is everything. What you think, you become." This concept is what makes me realize that your thoughts can become your reality. So I started reframing my internal dialogue, changing self-criticism to compassion, and overthinking to mindfulness. This made me more optimistic about life.
Walking in nature, ah. Who doesn't want to be with nature. Taking a stroll in a park whenever I feel overwhelmed and taking deep fresh breaths that instantly calms the mind is always my stress-relieving pill every time. I believe you too.
And If you're ever curious about the profound connection between greenery and mental health try reading the book called The Nature Fix by Florence Williams.
Also Hugging and spending time with your furry friends were heartwarming additions to this list. I noticed every time I’m stressed, my dog seems to sense it. You can see in his eyes that he seems worried. He would always come to comfort me. It was such a stress reliever.
While importance of exercise and sleep cannot be stressed enough. We both know that doing good exercise and having enough sleep has a huge impact on improving both our mental clarity and emotional balance.
Lastly, keeping a gratitude journal has been day to day practice for me. It’s incredible how writing down even small moments of joy or appreciation can shift your perspective over time. If you want to dive deeper, The Gratitude Diaries by Janice Kaplan is an inspiring read.
Thank you, Psych2Go, for this mental health guide. It’s a beautiful reminder that self-care doesn’t have to be complicated. Small, intentional actions can also make a huge difference.
I feel like the meds are like a Band aid???

@rrrrpppp8380Mental Health Theme of the Month: NO WORRIES NOVEMBER
@terrycutting2020Question, is it normal that these habits will have less and less effect on a person the longer you do them? (It always helps the first week, but then it starts to lose its effectiveness afterwards.)

@TuTubeLifeinEveryFrame-l2wI’m just worried about getting my 5 factors that lead to mental illness back in order before I’m able to help anyone/worry about other peoples problems. Health/finances/family/ legal issues. Funny how other peoples jobs are not on MY LIST.
