It does matter who's right. The Apostolic accession means that the original divine authorities, given by our King are passed on to the clergy of his church. This includes the ability to cast out demons and deliver the Holy Spirit during baptism with the laying of hands and anointing oil. I love you brother, but what you say is heresy, do not teach it.

Great video explaining the Divine Liturgy, but I just can't see it as respectful in the house of The LORD when women wear dresses or skirts above the knees. Just in my humble opinion it bothers me.

Michaela and your family have inspired me to go back to Orthodoxy. I am mixed eastern European and was raised both Orthodox and catholic. I'm Russian (proud of it), Serbian, Polish, Slovak and Hungarian. There's a running joke in our family that it's a miracle we didn't all kill each other.
Now that I'm in the Balkans, mostly Rebublika Srpska, it's time for me to devote my life to God though Orthodoxy. I literally gave up everything, left everything and spent everything to get back to the heartland of Orthodoxy and fin my peace. I realized that as long as I have God and faith in him, I don't need anything. I may be broke in reality but I'm rich in faith and will leave it all to God now. I've never felt more free and at peace with my life.
Thank you for the inspiration and this video helped me to remember what I saw and felt so long ago. God bless you and your family!

The biggest mistake he made is when he included Muslims with Catholic, and Protestants in the comment that it doesn’t matter who’s right so long as we abide in Christ. I’ve led many Muslims to faith in Christ and they weren’t abiding in Him. But enjoyed this very much!

The info is great but the way this man is speaking to her is so infantilizing and condescending, I can’t stomach any more of it. I can’t imagine he’d speak the same way to a man his own age. How embarrassing. Continuing my search for the Divine Liturgy explained.

Is it better in the big greek orthodox church like this or the smaller OCA which is all english and standing and more congregational in nature? I have only been to OCA divine liturgy and loved it but it was a smaller place.

@KevinJantunenI don't call a man holy father. The Only Father that is Holy is Father God. It's so sad to see Catholics calling a 100 percent man holy father. They don't want to be adopted by God. How many adoption scriptures have to be in the Bible for people to understand we are His creation and not His children until adoption?

I am sure the intention is good but we do not stand like that in church, even if it is not during liturgy, we do not speak like in a hall, our back towards the altar ... joking and laughing like that.

@econ_1Ok this guy seems like a nice guy but he shouldn't be teaching about the Bible. The book of Revelation was not added in the 5th or 6th century, that's just false information. It was part of the original 27 book list from Athanasius' in 367 AD. That same 27 book cannon was voted on in 393 and fully ratified at the Council of Carthage in 397 when the cannon was closed. Also the passage about the woman caught in adultery was first found in the Didascalia Apostolorum (200 AD) and came from oral traditions passed down much earlier than that. The earliest Greek manuscript with that specific passage is 400 AD. Please check information when someone states something even if they're a quality person 😅.
@SlifeactuallyA bit disappointed. I do mot agree with women and girls as Altar Servers. Also, you use the word “symbols” very loosely. Icons are not “symbols,” for example. They are representations of the Prototype (person), a sacred connection to the Saint.

@grafinvonhohenembsLove this video. Sincere question: I have read that if you don’t venerate icons that you are anathema and to be put out of the church. Now, I read through The Divine Images and understand it better, but I don’t think veneration is optional.

And I absolutely love what you said at the end about receiving the Eucharist: if we get sick from receiving the Body and Blood of Christ, then everything we believe is a lie. I love that so much. Never once have I been afraid to receive Holy Communion from the common spoon.

How can you become part of the church or you’re becoming part of the church when you already believe? It’s like being pregnant you are or you aren’t you’re saved which means you’re part of God’s family. You are the church or you’re not. Isn’t this more than confusing but sounds like terribly wrong?

@Chronicles_LivesI am floored by how everything points to the gospel. I think the orthodox faith has been lost to so many because of the language barrier and national tags. Before watching this video, I would never have felt comfortable walking into a “Greek” church. What a loss because this is the Christ that I know! I’m not saying Greek churches should not exist. It makes sense where there is a Greek speaking majority. But why speak Greek in America when even the most devout faithful do not understand the language?

Great video. The canon of the scriptures was codified in 383 however at the Council of Rome. Including the book of Revelation (singular) and the entire book of John. ;)
