I don't think I've seen a less authentic person than John Edwards and the 1st half of the video chronicaled an anti gay preacher who was smoking meth with a gay prostitute he was having an affair with. I at least think Ted Haggard believes some of what he's saying and probably does believe in god. I don't know what John Edwards believes but even when he's speaking about his wife battling a terminal illness it comes off as phony. The aggressive pointing at his chest, his phony smile, the fact that he clearly hates being in that interview to face the music so much he can't even remotely fake like he's doing it for any reason other than to try and salvage something for his career... this guy might be a psychopath.

I'm going to start by stating that Ted caused his own downfall and I personally have zero sympathy (maybe a teeny tiny bit but it's not visible to the eyes) I'll explain when I get there

Where that less than a speck of dust sized bit of sympathy comes in is where he talks about the possibility of being ostracized and shunned by the Christian community if they knew about his "sinful desires"
And when he finally faced his day of reckoning he was as predicted by Ted himself shunned and ostracized
So it was a lose/lose outcome regardless
On one hand if Ted gives in to his desires, he is branded a sexual deviant and a sinner
On the other hand if Ted doesn't give in to his natural desires for men then he's living a lie and that is a sad and depressing life to live if it's dishonest
