I started binge watching MOM a few months ago I'm truly enjoying it. The older I get I have been noticing that I'm growing into a cry baby the stories are mostly hilarious but when it tugs at the heart strings I have a hard time keeping it together.

I was addicted to alcohol, amphetamines, pot & hash for many years. I also suffer with severe mental illness & used drugs & alcohol to cover my illness. Although, I still have mental health issues, I have stopped all drugs & alcohol for 30+ years now 😂❤. Sadly, I lost my husband last year on April 22nd, 2024 & then 4 months later, I lost my Dad. I was concerned that I may go back to drinking alcohol to cope. But, I realized that I'm stronger than I thought. I'm so proud of myself for handling this grieving without the alcohol. I realized I don't really need it anymore. I have an amazing Therapist & Psychiatrist & close friends & Cousin to get me through my grieving process. I found this episode very interesting & helpful to remind myself how tough my addiction was like 30+ years ago.

18:31, unlike Adam, Patrick proved to be selfish. He didn’t take Christy’s sobriety into consideration. He understood but didn’t accept. And that sucked. Adam accepted what changed Bonnie had been doing. He questioned it but stood by her.

Patrick sucks.

Good show except for what they believe are the Rules of AA ...it's ONLY for alcohol abuse, not for weed , pills or narcotics!😡 there is NA for that.
I have been in AA for over 20 years, I ought to know.
