The pricing is not the fault of the big, bad U-S-of-A. In fact, many people here are quite angry with the "esteemed" FIFA, which is headquartered in both Paris and Zurich.
This EUROPEAN organization is ripping off its own customers, fans — and letting the United States take the heat for it. And what is exceedingly HILARIOUS is that all of
these so-called purists online kvetching about how commercialized it has become and how the so-called integrity is gone, gone, gone I tell ya', are all showing off to each other
how much money they have made on sports-betting and pausing their videos on YouTube, ranting about the big, bad U-S-of-A, to break into a sponsored piece for an energy
drink or an app. It's absolutely HILARIOUS. Typical Euro-hypocrisy, as well as their never-failing ignorance-arrogance. Of course, the irony of makin' money while posting on an
American video-sharing platform for a primarily American audience, accepting U.S. dollars, while, essentially, trashing the United States, is LOST on them.
And you, too, I would surmise . . . You do understand basic economics (apart from the utopian-wishful-thinking ravings of one Karl Marx)? FIFA contracts are written
on such a high renumeration point, even for transportation, that the venue has no choice but to pass along the costs . . . Just like those misaligned tariffs. (Oops.)

Attorneys General from New York, New Jersey, California, and Texas have launched investigations into FIFA. These inquiries focus on ticketing practices for this 2026 World Cup, skyrocketing prices and misleading seat allocations. The main reasons for the investigations include sharply rising costs — FIFA introduced dynamic pricing for the first time, causing ticket prices for some matches to soar; reportedly, prices for premium seats at the final peaked between $10,000 and $30,000. Folks reported purchasing "Category 1" premium tickets only to discover that FIFA had subsequently altered stadium layouts and downgraded those seats to inferior categories with restricted views. Authorities are examining FIFA’s variable pricing model — which led to significant price hikes between October and April,
as well as allegations of artificially-created scarcity. FIFA is entirely a YOU problem, my dear Europe , as in YOUrope.

The World Cup and then the Olympics happening within two years (2014–2016) were a huge stress to be hosted in Brazil and that's on the list of things that lead the population to become angrier at the government, that lead to the president suffering an impeachment. A similar political stress can happen again, now in the US, if the event is projected to be that big and there is no structure to host it.

@samfisher1326So... you apply for the visa, you somehow get it, buy an overpriced ticket (dynamic pricing is going to ruin the visitors who ain't really wealthy), arrive and get stuck at the airport, you need to show all your social media posts and you better don't have any giggle emoji under any post about the administration.
You leave the airport finally and have no way to get to the hotel except from overpriced Uber... metro, trams, busses? Nope! You make it in the end, hours later than expected. The next day you struggle to get to the stadium cause car is the only way, but the traffic jams makes you pay horrendous price again, not to mention you're stressed you won't make it. But hey! You're finally there! All good, right?
Well, up to the moment ICE starts to operate at the stadium or just after the game scanning people leaving the venue. You better have all the papers on you and don't try to get them out from your pocket too quickly...
Yes, this will be the most fabulous event of all. Or shall I say "it's going to be huge! no one had as huge world cup as we will, beautiful and huge, we'll make it great again".
