Apple Ecosystem Explained: Features and Setup UPDATED for 2026!

If nothing else, finally getting into this ecosystem myself purely because of the stable support.

Having a mac be the only PC that actually runs applications I need for work, because a Windows update broke the windows version and there's no fix besides "wait for another update," or there's no Linux compatibility at all, has been such an unexpectedly frequent godsend.

All these features sound like an added bonus, but I'm just happy to have something that runs like it's supposed to. The bar is that low, but somehow everyone else keeps limboing under it. At this point I'm only still Windows/Android for gaming.

I bought my second Mac mini in 2014. When my Dell computer crapped out I ended up taking the hard drive out and throwing it in the trash never look back. I’ve owned three Mac mini‘s. I’m on my third right now. I would never buy another computer but a Mac mini unless I’m setting up a music server on a second computer that I would do with a small Windows computer, but I hate using Windows. It sucks. It’s the worst once you go to Apple you don’t wanna go back because there’s so many limitations and windows with their crappy system. it’s a nightmare. Windows sucks and you don’t need windows. You can get all the Microsoft office 365 applications to work on Mac and an iPhone and a iPad.! and Bill Gates is an evil man!

Being an iPhone user, that will soon get my first Macbook, this was very helpful, thank you!

have you seen Motorola's Smart Connect? it can do most of the iPhone + Mac continuity features and even had the phone mirroring feature (even when clicking on notifications) before Apple did

Nice concise video of all the features, but just one feature only for very selective niche market that will eventually benefit from ie “sidecar with mirror flip display” feature. Wish they had figured out by now. @Apple

clipboard is the GOAT! i use it everyday. i take a lot of notes on my ipad. i love being able to copy something from my computer or phone and just paste it onto my ipad notes.

the best thing about the iPhone mirroring is that you can drag and drop pictures or documents from the iPhone to the MacBook

Been an Android User since Galaxy S1 in 2010, switch to Apple in 2022 for two reasons: Magsafe and the Apple Ecosystem.
