Very informative and useful video!
I’ve been using Asana since 2012, and my last getting started tutorial has been watched over 139,000 times. Since then, Asana has changed significantly — including navigation updates, project views, and workflow features — so this is a fully updated 2026 beginner guide.
In this tutorial, you’ll learn:
@minor-co what did you use to create these training videos? I am loving how the format is working, with the zooming in and out. This is so much better than the training my company provided me, I can't even see my trainer's screen it is so tiny in the recording!
How Asana actually works (projects, tasks, sections, milestones)
How to structure teams properly (and avoid common beginner mistakes)
I love it
How to build your first real project from scratch
How to assign work, set due dates, and manage dependencies

We’re also an approved Asana Solutions Partner, which means we can help with onboarding, training, account setup, and discounted licences if you decide to scale.
Are the tasks you added tied to the milestone? Milestone first then tasks to achieve milestone are below it. Correct?

27:51 How Teams Successfully Roll Out Asana
I moved to instaboard because seeing the whole project on one canvas is way more intuitive than clicking through different views. I drag cards into sections for each phase so the team can spot dependencies instantly, and when plans change we just reorganize everything visually instead of rebuilding the whole structure.
