Just discovered this - great concert. Loved "Don't Cry".

I first discovered Asia in this line-up and later with Mandy Meyer, but when the nineties arrived I started getting used to John Payne, and better drummers (like Mike Sturgis). When John Payne was sacked and this original line-up started performing and recording I was a bit frustrated. In my opinion Aria and Arena are the best albums the band ever recorded. But it's all a mess now. Asia is touring now (2026) with only Downes, and Payne has his own version. The other bands/projects of Payne are hardly worth it (except maybe GPS). Anyway, I think Palmer is overrated as a drummer, Steve Howe is a great and unique quitarist, and Wetton is an okay singer and a mediocre bass player at best. Bands like Asia, Saga, Magnum etc. remain in my heart, but watching and hearing this, makes me feel a bit uncomfortable, because it is all so bland, middle of the road, bombastic and boring. Nothing really happens. But hey, that's dad rock for ya.
@Monsieur_Renard_MusicThe Drum set sounds like trash. I wonder what’s up. It’s unusually terrible.
@K.DwizzleJust classic !!!

One of my favorite band, I love to listen the heat goes on too. Time past, long time ago, I miss the time when I was young too. Happy new year to everyone here. From Corea.
@AtlanSumerianIt does look like Steve Howe never had any interest in concealing his age (that would be a good thing).
@johnries5593Steve Howe amd Carl Palmer!!!!!!!
@lulitanakaLoved John Wetton in the UK band. An often forgotten "supergroup" and Eddie Jobsons' keyboard talents were every bit as impressive as Rick Wakeman.
@T浩美-u2dThis is insane
@williamhoyle417frigging AWESOME (Steve Howe Album-ish, like meadow rag undertones, etc.) version of the CLAP !!!!!
he usually plays it fairly close to the vest, and that's great, but this is THE MOST UNIQUE version i've ever heard, simply exquisite ;- )
Nice to see Geoff with the sunglasses for "Video killed the radio star".

Certainly not the group a guys would expect to be using backing tracks but… Awesome.
@leakybrainI think they're better in concert, than in the LP-s...LP-s are too popular sometimes, but this concert is a pure prog rock.
@mobileumYou will never again see this much talent on the same stage Ever!!!
Super Star's!!
@Влад-у1н4тGreat memories starting in 1982 !
@johnsartelle8320Truly the definition of a Super Group. The first album was a masterpiece of Prog's greatest musicianship going into a more commercial sound. Howe is just one of the great guitarists, Carl's drumming, Wetton's wonderful voice and Downes keys.
@DonaldWebber-o9vHoliest of holies 😮
@darezarectaAmazingly beautiful ❤ Especially how he plays with vibration ✨✨✨
@darezarectaSo many greats on that stage. RIP to Mr John. He's in the big band now!
@Thor57644"Smile Has Left Your Eyes" has never got it's due in all these years. One of the most poignant relationship songs of the 80's and only hardcore Asia fans have ever heard it. Best song on "Alpha" for my money and still moves me deeply whenever I hear it. Beautifully sung and played by John Wetton. RIP.
@escargotomyNice to see such a respectful audience...
@timbigger1731SANTA ROSA - LA PAMPA - ARGENTINA.-
@carlosalbertotridente9292The songs they chose from ELP and King Crimson I thought were odd: Fanfare for the Common Man and In the Court of the Crimson King. From ELP I figured they'd pick something that featured Carl Palmer. And from KC, I figured something from Larks' Tongues, Starless & Bible Black, or Red.
@小林徹也-m6sSeen this lineup of Original Asia members quite a few times.. John Wetton or Greg Lake❤❤❤❤
@shin6613The 80s were a none stop flood of great bands and music compared to the cheap crap in 2025. Yes they’re a hand full but most are just cheap crap. When modern people hear these bands they are amazed how great these bands were.

@matsliljebjerLove Asia! Miss John Wetton. But, Roundabout? Sorry, but you cannot pull off Yes without Jon Anderson. It has been proven for over 50 years.
@joelsmsgThis is an excellent recording. Thanks ASIA for sharing it. I saw you in San Diego and it was great. 👍 Keep rockin'!
@Bokash71Just imagine if Rick Wakeman was there I like Pat thrall better than Steve
@BrianAdam-y1dWith John Wetton RIP.
@MichaelBoyce-tm2vwRhapsody.
@MichaelBoyce-tm2vwÚžasné.. Kapela čo mi zmenila život k lepšiemu. Ďakujem kapele a Japonsku. 😊
