Im getting this game for the first time ever. My dad used to play this game over 30 years ago when it was called championship manager. This had helped alot.

Soo I created a team and coach as Mancity but for some season it spawns me to and empty screen and asks me to add manage and then I can’t play in England only the remaining top 4

I know not all options will be the same fro PC and console of course, but I'm a bit concerned about the coaching philosophy section. That's an integral part to a manager, yet on console I've either skipped that somehow, or that section isn't available on console which I find really strange, can you or anyone here confirm if this is correct please?

@gavinbillington7193I picked unemployed on my save. Probably shouldn’t have done as it was my first ever game. I did get a job in Wales. After accepting that and pressing continue the game crashed. I am on an iPad. I did it a few times. Always got the same club, crashed every time. I am now go to quick start following your recommendations
@bazcurtis178Warning: You should not set up with real world and locked transfer window if you play in lower leagues because it will be locked there too, even though the transfer window should be open. I'm in Enterprise South and can't sign anyone, not even free agents, because of "No transfer activity is allowed in this transfer window", whatever "this transfer window" is.
@brakara360On the transfer mode, I think they should have a 4th option that is a combination of Real World and Your World. So, players start at the clubs they were at, at your start date. After this, clubs buy the players that they did in real life, except for your club. You can choose to buy or sell who you want but your bid on a player that your club bought in real life is more likely to be accepted than it would be otherwise, and similar with selling your players to other clubs. And you can also try and buy someone else instead, even if another club bought them irl, with it then being treated like any other transfer in FM. Just a thought.

@fjols1991Here are the five simplest, most useful tactical tips for newer FM players:
1. If your squad’s got slow centre-backs, don’t play a high line.
2, If your striker can’t pass, make him finish, not link play.
3. If your midfield lacks creativity, use width and overlaps instead of forcing play through the middle.
4. If your defenders can’t head, don’t sit deep and invite crosses.
5. If your team’s struggling for form, keep it simple with a balanced mentality and short passing.

@OldMoanyDadBest way to start your fm26 save is to uninstall it and load up fm24.
@alexwallach7683In FM24 I always found disallowing first window activity just makes teams sign players on loan which is really odd

@PeterSL1UKIf you switch from managing, for instance, a bottom half Serie A team to a National League North/South team or unemployed start (as I plan for Beta and Full release) do you have to set up different manager profiles for each to make it more realistic?
