Human vision doesn't work the way people think it does not even close everything you think you see around you is largely a lie it's a digital analog composite that your brain puts together that's not actually what you see
Doesn't change the fact that he's a fault though :-)
Look at the time frame difference between when he initiated his turn and you pulled out into the rodeway inn star of accelerating.
He had already looked in the direction you were coming from and was now looking at where he was going you entered the roadway during this small moment in Time
Meaning he quite literally very likely never saw you.
Because you appeared after he had already looked in the direction you were coming from.
That's a failure on his part the failure here was not understanding how the human vision works not understanding how other drivers behave and rushing a turn
He tried to make a rolling left turn and try to time the gap basically your player two has entered the game and he never saw you enter
Have you done a proper left turn where he basically comes to a stop in front of that pickup truck to ensure the pickup truck isn't going to try to jump out in front of him he would have been made his last look in the direction you were coming from and he would have saw you.
I wouldn't really call it negligence at fault could they have done it better and saw you yes but fault requires negligence in my opinion he is however liable. Liability and vault are two different things either way all that's required here for him to owe you for the damages to your car is liability and he definitely has that. Don't rush turns like this on these kinds of roads that are very busy otherwise accents like this happen

49: It wouldn't have mattered if the corner is blind if the grey SUV hadn't cut the corner. There was plenty of room for them to pass the other car.
52: Actually, you saw that the guy was going to merge because he had his blinker on, and that his lane was ending. You should have let him merge.

And, if YOU can see them, you know darn well that car is out of room and moving over. YOUR fault, even though the other driver is going to get the blame. And now you got your car down and time lost while it is repaired, plus all the insurance hassles. Maybe slowing down for three seconds could have saved you a few hours to spend with your kids.

You can see the white Yukon drive over rumble strip type asphalt (no idea why it's there), and because the Yukon had blown shocks it caused the tires to leave the ground and thus the side-to-side sway as the driver was trying to correct with a steering wheel barely connected to the ground. When they realize they're out of control they slam the brakes, and because the ABS is clearly non-functional on that vehicle as well they skid wherever inertia is taking them. Which in this case is right into a jersey barrier. All in all this is a fantastic lesson as to why you should maintain your vehicle.
