Does the bridgestone at ascent out perform the firestone destination A/T2 that was a top tire in the last all terrain tire test?

This is one of the best presentations for all terrain's I have ever seen. Video presentation actually correlates with the dialogue in the on road test. You hit on some very valid points especially giving us the size, load rating and the pressure during testing. Reviews on tire rack and discount tire suck because no one tells what size, load rating and pressure the tires are reviewed at. Observing the reviews it looks like a lot of people don't even know there is different sizes, load ratings or the correct pressure for the application. I've read where some people say (I run the max pressure) which for E rated tires is 80 psi, and then they wonder shy the center wears out fast. Or they run pressure to low and have a sidewall blow out. Some of them reveal this but very few. I absolutely hate AI presentations. Lazy ass inaccurate info. I will never subscribe to that crap. I have older COOPER discoverer tires, they are very quiet on dry pavement.

At that point, why not just drive down a gravel access road and call it a day?

The KO3’s are superb in all conditions. Smooth ride, low noise, pushes the rain out, etc… I’ve had BFG original KO’s and then went with Yokohama Geolanders, not even close. Running on a Hummer H2.

Okay. I’m between the ascent and Nokian outpost nat for my tundra. Looking for mostly on road comfort and noise. I tow a few times a year a camper and horse trailers. I will be driving these mostly in the summer as I have dedicated winter tires, and both will perform enough for the surprise snow storms. I sometimes hit off-road but nothing too crazy. Which would you pick? I’m assuming the ascents. (I’m a Nokian fan lol)

You should have explained the weighting and difference between LT tires and SL standard load tires.
I had to find out I ordered the unnecessary 10 ply cooper crap show ones because of this poopy not detailed video 👎 💩

Dueller Ascent put on my Ram 1500. It did really well in snow (even though we didn't get a lot of it this year) and is very quiet on the road. Haven't taken it off road a lot yet but I expect it to perform well when I do.

I had the k03s on my 2024 Tacoma but I wasn't impressed too much with them in the rain. I don't think the Z pattern helps that

I just discovered your channel. Excellent real world conditions reviews. I currently have the Cooper Discoverer AT3. They have been great. However, I do have to rebalance about every 5-6mo. And past 72 mph there is a noticeable vibration. Dirt road, and wet conditions are where this tire excels. The noise is not loud and is the same tone as regular road noise. I’m now about a year out from a new set and your video has me convinced that the Bridgestone ascent is my next tire. I will be more on the highway in the years to come and less on dirt roads. I have a 2020 Silverado crew cab standard bed( not short box) 4x4.

These Bridgestone Dueler A/T are complete junk boys. I go offroad ALOT on hard tracks pushing my 4x4 to its limits and the Duelers are complete junk. There a highway tyre with a bit of offroad. They will not bag out enough there super stiff ive been using these for a while and cannot wait till there worn down enough so i can go with Yokahamas or Mickey Thompsons ATZs. I regret buying the Bridgestones every day im on the tracks.

I put those Bridgestones on my X5. Ran them on some snow and ice, I'm impressed, with T/C in 'middle' mode after tromping the accelerator after a few seconds of slip i was up to 45-50mph without much hassle... I know these tires wont take me to places my M/T tires on my Nissan will but that isn't the point here. apples and oranges. so far very happy with the duelers. Very nice for the 80% on highway and capable enough for the other 20%.

Had KO2s switched to Wildpeaks and never going back. BFGs are trash if theres any water on the ground. Wildpeaks all day everyday

I've been following your channel for about 5 years now, and I'm quite picky when it comes to tyres. What concerns me is that I reach different conclusions when comparing tyre sizes, particularly 225/40R18 and 235/35R19. For example, in some of your older tests, the Michelin PS4 in 225/40R18 finished well ahead of the Bridgestone Potenza Sport, but in the new 2025 tests, the Bridgestone in 235/35R19 came out on top. Would you have the time and interest to compare 3-4 top brands and assess their consistency across the most common sizes, e.g., 205/225/235 in 17/18/19-inch diameters? From what I've seen, only Continental shows real consistency, while the others are scattered all over the rankings.

I've burned through all 3 versions of BFG AT KO but now am using the awesome Nokian Outpost NAT which I think is actually superior in many ways.

Because of the snow performance and where I live I chose to go with the KO3. I put those bad boys on my Ford lightning battery electric pickup truck. Run them at 35 lb and there is not anywhere that I can't go. In fact I've been going in too deep of snow and it's been going into my radiator. I've been having too much fun!

I just went with cooper discoverer rugged trek and absolutely love them. They ride very smooth and the road noise is very minimal for an RT. I had Goodyear ultraterrain AT before and they were great tires also. So far I think i prefer the coopers.

I would like to see, tire balance, added as a data point. How much weight does it take, to balance each tire. Balancing can show how well a tire is constructed.

Really need to do the Cooper Discover Road+Trail AT as well. A little more road oriented, but one of the best wet weather tires I’ve ever run on my truck and snow performance was shockingly good. I also do not hear the tire at all compared to the KO2s I had before.

Hi, if you buy a new tyre, and the date code says it is 3 years old. Is that ok to use?

I had the KO3 last winter when they came out, they were hot garbage on snow packed roads and mediocre in rain. So happy to have the Ascents during this current snow storm.

Bridgestone for most by far. I have owned the ko2, open country at3, scorpion atr, cooper at3 xlt. All LT sizes e rated. The Bridgestone is by far the quietest on road has the best siping for winter and rain. Still looks the part but not quite as aggressive as the others. No comparison on highway. I respect your reviews but the tread pattern don’t lie. The Bridgestone looks like the best of the road and it is by far. And quietest by far.

I have did a direct comparison over complete Tire) life of the BFGKO and the Cooper discover XT the Cooper out performed it in the beach sand and the mountain snow and treadwear on the Cooper. I got over 60,000 miles.

Test the hankook at2 xtreme rf12 get sets last 200,000km and 3 peak snow flake rated

I hope you'll have a winter performance review between the Bridgestone AT Ascent and the Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 someday.
