Just WAY too expensive. Help people more by showing them how to afford a simple coop for the normal backyard. Not interested in a celebrity version.
Our biggest and best Craftsman Chicken Coop build ever. This custom coop was installed in Dryden, Michigan, just outside Detroit. It has a 10'x10' henhouse/storage shed combination with a 30' run, bringing the overall footprint to 10'x40'.
This coop has true board and batten and sandwiched walls construction. It has a fully functional cupola and tons of storage inside the henhouse/shed area. It also has the roof line going in two different directions for a great look accented by a bold red door.
How much would a coop like that cost
There is a heated poultry water system, automatic chicken run door, and plenty of windows for ventilation. Learn about the tips in building this huge custom chicken coop complete with measurements and insights into the build.
I square up the ends of my roost bars and a notch to place them in. keeps it from turning when they are 1 st flying up to grab on
This coop also was landscaped afterward by a design from Bethany Latham of Environmental Harmony that incorporated companion planting for chicken foraging. Foodscaping for chickens!

@DanielTrac-mi6byI was thinking
, maybe it’s Martha’s Stewart home 😊If I were a chicken I approve this home!
Can you explain that water system in more detail please? I use a gravity fed system from an IBC tote but it doesnt work in winter. The nipples where the chicken peck for the water freezes. Ive never found a system that can defeat that. The water on the nipple is exposed so it will freeze. thx
@kayakbandits9894You guys make some incredible coops, I can tell you are passionate about your business, nice job guys!
@DefendingtruthsBeautiful job!
@pp5237I could build it for 7000. Easy
@carymoore8373This is an absolute beauty looking coop, but it leaves me wondering how many of these you've built for winter climates vs Carolinas?
The snow for this michigan one will kill that wood foundation, especially with dirt being graded up against the edge of it, itll soak it all up and freeze thaw will crack it and have water intruding, very little overhang from the roof to keep runoff snow and rain away.
Is your expected life cycle for this coop about 10-15 years?
Kentucky chicken run…🐓. Bigger than my covered back porch! Still an amazing chicken palace. 😊
@edmundlee7677thank you for measuring and explaining all the features and why they are there. I can't wait to build one here in the texas hill country.
@TrustworthyExpertHow many chicken for this house?
@TereisaDuff-rq8viWhat do you finish the inside of the hen house with?
@craighalstead680love ur design and functionality. ❤
Tip:
No pressure treated lumber - that is sooooo noxious- read the material safety data sheet of CAA and CMA

Bu şu ana kadar gördüğüm en etkileyici tavuk kümesi, ama benim en çok hayran olduğum şey tavukların nefes alması için yapılan özen ve tabi ki güvende olmaları.
Hayvan sevgisi budur. Gösterilen özen, tebrik ediyorum muhteşem siniz.
Bu konudaki idol im oldunuz.👏👏👏
New Sub! This is by far the best coop I have seen ... but I am in WA state?
@Rommy-1000My neighbor 87, has 50 chickens and other fouls and his coop cost him about $100.00 out of scrap metal and some wire.
@theartistone5860We have some custom ones in Georgia that are 100 times that size… and we can walk in them.
@TestPilotN911RGBeautiful chicken coop but more expensive than most people can afford.
@claudiaelmore4331In this world there are homeless people, there are poor people, there are middle class people and then there are people with a chicken coop like this.
@JD-sl1qsLove the henhouse. I don't suppose you offer the 10x10 without the run? Or perhaps a build plan and materials list? It's pretty much exactly what I dream about having for my flock.
@anonthehousemouseOMG absolutely fabulous I wish I could have one, I would never ever afford one but on my gosh love love love, excellent work thanks for sharing 🎉
@sedland54My goodness, that is a nonsense. A coop should be for a human to walk in straight. That way you can fit a lot of chicks in. Nests should be mobile, just some baskets. Water should be in a bucket heated by aquarium heater in the winter. Cheap and easy.
@pradrevBetter to use a toilet valve to create an automatic waterer without the need of electricity
@Chidisimo03Beautiful and well thought out!
@janebadon3988Love your work
@teacupyorkies9458Egg factory extraordinaire !
@zigzagfly1635Nice luxury chicken house. This is just like everything else in life on expense. These are for the upper class that have a lot of discretionary wealth to dispose of and cost isn’t part of the conversation.
$50K chicken coop, $5M house, $500K in automobiles.
The average working drone though will build their own out of scrap materials and the chickens won’t know the difference.
Can I live in this? Nicer than my own home...
