Blind Test // 90s Techno #1 - Episode 2 (Electronic Beats TV)
Video Overview & Insights
For the second part of our Blind test series we invited Techno heavyweights Ellen Allien and Monika Kruse, Detroit legend Alan Oldham a.k.a. T-1000, Berlin rave godfather Tanith, Milton Bradley and Producer duo CYRK (Pascal Hetzel and Sammy Gossens).
The Technasia track is ‘Resilience’, not ‘Force’. ‘Force’ is A1, ‘Resilience’ is B1 on the 2000 12".
We've chosen 8 Techno classics from our private collection to test our contestants' train-spotting abilities. Feel free to ID the tracks yourself!

How is that Technasia - Force? I’ve played that record a million times and it sounds nothing like that
Points system:
Artist AND Title correct = 1 points
Artist OR Title correct = 0,5 points

I think what you heard in the 90's was regional. Because it was limited to whatever your record shop carried/imported, different regions had different styles of Techno. None of these records were played in my city, it wasn't the style that most Djs used to buy in the area.

I can’t believe how well I did,,, (they threw the Bells in there so we could get at least one)

4:37 I was a bit baffled they didn´t recognize "Aril Brikha - Groove La´Chord." 2:24 "Technasia - Force" is so good. But it’s a phenomenon where DJs recognize a record by its cover, while often not knowing the artist or track title — commonly called “sleeve recognition,” and it’s usually easier to remember.

I think I’m the only person who doesn’t like the bells by Jeff. I much prefer step to enchantment (Jeff still the goat of course)
@lukemate2783Love acid style tracks like "citrus break overkill"
@hardcoretodabone6613by the way... 2nd track rly ? it was supposed to be something difficult ! every self-respecting DJ knows jeff mills !
@areyoueatmeWhere's episode 1?
@MaxilinexusThey have quite good memory, my experience of dj-ing is often remember pictures associated to colors associated to sounds, to memories to feelings <<< i often forget the names and the words. I've seen so many interviews by EB in the past. I remember back in time I got their DVDs with my new records from my local record store. The quality is allways the best.
@waterblipYou are just playing my record collection !
@o0pinkdino0oThis was really fun
@Alice_RavvenThank you, Telekom, for introducing me to Technasia.

Охренительно
@ДанилИванов-щ6п4цGreen velvet forsure
@bensherwood7617Electronic music sounds more futuristic than contemporary modern ones. It just cuts to the chase with primal sounds from the electronic grid the synthetic entity was born in. Lives well embedded in cities
@neonpop80Anti German festival schlachtet sie die faschisten .. wir kann es halt sein dass auf personen in einem land mordanschlage ausgefuehrt werden obwohl man doch von staat geschuetzt werden sollte dass bereits schin als kind ?
