Home monitoring is the key.
I go to the doctors office the other day actually my cardiologist. I'm sitting in traffic an hour to get to the appointment stressed out. I have to literally run through the parking lot because I did not want to be late. Ran up two flights of stairs got to the front desk, checked in had to use the bathroom as I'm walking out of the restroom. The nurse calls me in walks down the hall asked me my height and weight proceeds to sit me down. Take my blood pressure 145/90 oh my God you're high?! she says
I'm like no shit lady
I take it at home. Perfect multiple times throughout the day good. They threw blood pressure meds at me. I'm like not doing it.

18:42 Accurate Office BP Measurement

Ever in the search for quality health management for myself I added intermittent fasting to my game plan. I end up dinner at 5:00 pm then have my next meal at 11:30. (Lunch) the following day.
I’ve seen a remarkable improvement to my weight, glucose, and blood pressure. I met with my cardiologist to discuss this change and she stopped me cold and told me that she was not interested in discussing preventative medicine in any form. She advised me that she makes her living treating people with heart issues not preventing heart issues. If you are in Phoenix and have a lady heart doctor be advised that she is not in your best interest. Her advice is obviously a product of the offices managements treatment philosophy. We don’t need any heart doctors that play with adding risk to our lives. I discussed this with my regular VA doctor and was advised that “off the record” that office is on the “ do not use” list.

1:16:41 Q & A

I don't like my B/P meds because they make me feel like Im moving in slow motion. Avg, 200/120. My Doctor said its because I'm use to going over 200 miles per hour. Thank God for nitro. I laugh, they checks my heart n lungs yet I believe its in my head, too much stress I feel from otbers. Like a Helicopter hitting Plane, before the news, Im stuck in bed because my B/Ps were 185/112. I do my med program till I got it down to158/104, i go to bed and wake up its 2001/126. It goes up while I sleep. Pressure, CBD oil in gummies hwlp the pain, n anitro pill or two.
Terri is Helping Ann get to Dr.Niemeier. yes Good God must love me, it happens all the time with so many National Disasters

The root cause of high blood pressure is unknown. You're definitely out of balance. Could it be your fasting insulin? Idk.
Could it be man-made process poisons for 30 years? Idk.
Could long-term Pharmaceuticals kill you? Probably.
We're all different not one thing works for everyone.
It's quite the unsolved riddle.

Fo i need to take meds if my bp never goes up or over 120/80. It stays in the low 100’s systolic and below 80 diastolic all the times it’s 90ish over 60’s even 50’s. Do i need to continue meds because i get lightheaded. It was 74/52 yesterday. If i skip i walk 15 miles a day ive lost over 80lbs. I eat right and clean. Do you think i’s safe to come off meds. It never gets high at all.

@Freekoismus

He should add, you can refuse to have your bp checked if conditions are adverse. I always refuse if there’s a lot of noise. And it’s not a little bit complicated. It’s extremely complicated. And in the sprint study we have a 1.5 percent risk difference between 140 and 120. He did give the correct number. A fall is a big deal. He’s right about generalizing from sprint. And if you’re very old, who cares? If you don’t die of heart disease you’ll die from cancer.

@seattlecathy

You have rude medical assistants and crowded noisy waiting rooms. That can be changed easily. Get rid of the tv. Have a doctor take the bp. He is absolutely right. We over diagnose high bp.

Thank you, Dr. Robert Baron, for this information. My husband has hypertension, I will show him this video too. We are from Estonia, where a very effective remedy for maintaining normal pressure is sold – Kardisel. It is made from natural components. Kardisel purifies the blood, normalizes pressure, and prevents the development of heart diseases. My husband felt much better and easier to live after starting to take Kardisel.

In a lot of ways this guy is depressing to listen to from a patient perspective. Take reducing salt to lower BP for example, he says it CAN be effective but only works for about a third of patients. WOW, not a lot of encouragement there. My doctor told me to monitor my BP at home and this guy says most of the equipment doesn’t work and most people don’t know how to do it effectively anyway. So it won’t help 😢. I prefer to pursue a positive approach to my health, just watching this guy makes me wonder if I even want to live. Imagine having him for a primary physician.

As of 2024: Is the recommendations for African American based on genetics or as a population group? Which genes in anyone correlate towards blood pressure if such a gene has been proven?

Out 34:15 out perform maybe because patients are not compliant with food, exercise/movement, and mental/spiritual calming.
35:56 difficult but not impossible to reduce poor body mass.
37:15 sodium reduction works best by cooking at home = me.
38:25 genetic or cultural food choice?
38:57 DASH: healthy heart.
39:49 30 days of movement.
40:05 coffee not? Almost unbelievable! Maybe the added sugar and toppings added at specialty coffee houses is the real bad with modern coffee consumption?
High salt can be water retention because kidney’s couldn’t offload?
Salt: moderation
Joint national commission, 8th version. Treatment at certain elevation, how low to treat, and how? Randomized: 9 recommendations. 1 of 9, seniors at 150/90. High number diastolic most often now known as danger indicator. 48:46 all fronts by age and community were statistically deemed as okay.
Treatment: water, ccbc, ace inhibitor, angiotensin. Beta blockers proved not so effective by self but maybe evidence based better as 3rd in trio combo. 51:58 misleading ? But is it genetic or cultural? Do studies of African Americans look at lifestyle, food choices and daily habits.
Q: amlodipine as calcium blocker: what does calcium block do for heart or vessels? Does it affect needed calcium in other organs? Nil is not none. Negligible or not tested.

Harm or better, better or none: 50:50 in favor or not.

I always have low blood pressure from 90/68 to 112/70 but there was a day in the past that I experienced headache so I took my blood pressure and it was 140/ could not remember the diastolic but I know it was under 80. So I was taken to E. R. I had a follow up with my primary care physician and since then he put me on blood pressure medicine losartan. After taking this losartan for a while I complained of feeling light headed and dizziness always low blood pressure. He told me to half the 25mg. I always have had low blood pressure. Any suggestions. Thanks

All my relatives take blood pressure meds. I was fat and had high blood pressure, but did not take meds. Then I cut cars, lost the fat, and my blood pressre went down. My wife tracks my pressure on a spreadsheet. It has stayed low for 8 years while I eat a lot of meat.

Thanks for this presentation and information on taking blood pressure readings correctly. The latest guidelines were decided by doctors that have financial ties to pharmaceuticals and putting more people on medication. They lowered the bar for profit. My doctor lowered my blood pressure so low trying to meet those guidelines it caused me acute kidney injury.
