0:00 Introduction: How breakfast affects your day
I know I’m late to this conversation..but I wanted to mention that I eat twice a day after nursing a few cups of organic coffee and lemon water in the morning. My breakfast which can occur anywhere around 10 am to 1 pm consists of zatar, lebne, quality cold pressed extra virgin olive oil and pita bread. This is the traditional breakfast of the Syrian / Lebanese / Palestinian world. Some will add a boiled egg and olives. Lebne is kefir cheese so it is filled with probiotics. Zatar is thyme with another herb, i forget what exactly.. I try to buy pita bread made in the Arab world , outside the US bc the flour here is toxic and for some weird reason it makes me extremely sleepy.

I prefer eggs, beef sausage and fruit (berries and cherries) in the morning. With a cup of milk kefir/yogurt or coconut kefir/yogurt. People dont be afraid of fruit. Best source for your carbs. I also love having fried plantains with sardines and eggs for my last meal around 4pm.

If I eat early in the day, I find that it’s more difficult to stick to my designated eating window. Probably because I have suffered with an ED before.

Healthy immune Doc is giving me some information that contradicts some of the things Dr Berg says. I’m so confused. Like she doesn’t promote a lot of fermented foods because of the salt and possible bacteria. She says we should eat mostly fruits(diabetics have to pay more attention with fruits and what they combine it with) and veggies, low meat diet. She also says plain oatmeal with fruits is great. ::sighs::

What you eat for breakfast affects your ability to focus, your creative ability to solve problems, and how well you sleep at night.
I used to start my day coffee ☕️ chocolate biscuits and ciggies
A carb-heavy breakfast promotes insulin resistance, which inhibits your ability to absorb fuel. The first place you’ll notice this is in your brain.
Ketones are a much better fuel for your brain than sugar. To make ketones, you need to lower your carbs and sugar. You can also produce ketones by fasting. While fasting, your body must convert to making ketones for energy.
That’s why I stick to super sugar crisp or count chocula
Carbohydrate breakfast foods leave you hungry within an hour-and-a-half of eating. Sugary cereal is a poor choice for breakfast. Magic Spoon or keto-friendly granola without added sugar is a better option.
Oatmeal is generally one of the most ultra-processed foods. If you want to eat oatmeal for breakfast, look for regular oatmeal without sugar. The best option for oatmeal is steel-cut oats, although they take longer to cook.
He is funny.😏
Oatmeal and wheat are heavily sprayed with glyphosate, which has been shown to cause cancer and problems with your gut. Choose organic to avoid this problem.
Replacing your breakfast food with protein such as meat, bacon, and eggs can significantly change your energy levels and cognitive function. Eggs and bacon are the perfect healthy morning breakfast. You can also add avocado or cheese. Cheese is very nutritious, a good source of protein, and has good bacteria due to the fermentation process.
There's nothing wrong with a little butter and a little raw organic honey, maple syrup or sugar on your oatmeal or cereal. I eat 1 to 2 duck eggs with 2 lightly toasted and lightly buttered super thin pieces of bread. Usually will have a cup of clove/orange tea.
Yogurt is a great breakfast option. Choose organic Greek or Bulgarian yogurt without added sugar, or make your own yogurt. Instead of giving your kids Wonder bread, try a sprouted bread like Ezekiel bread. Add peanut butter for extra protein. Red meat and pork sausage are also great breakfast foods.
It’s important to prioritize sleep! Losing just one hour of sleep can significantly affect your blood sugar and cognitive state.
Most people work a 9-5 type job so they can’t eat a meal at 10 and 3

Greasy does not mean unhealthy it means fatty, last I checked fat can store energy. Fatty foods are all so much tastier, breakfast does not have to be breakfast foods it can be anything you want.

That's why it is called breakfasf. You sleep and fast for whole night 12 hours and then you're going to break it by eating in the morning. Breakfast.

I prefer my breakfast to be greek yogurt with raspberries, hazelnuts, oats, walnuts and cacao nibs. Its delicious. And I make a matcha latte after, I only sweeten with erythritol, it gives me so much energy.

I eat for breakfast at about 6:00 a.m.: 3 handfuls of lightly salted roasted peanuts, 1-2 apples, 1/2 cup fruit juice or fruit smoothie, 1/2 cup Spring water, and finally 2 teaspoons of olive oil. My next and only meal for the day is about 10:00 a.m.
@AllisonBordeBacon is literally terrible for sodium. It’s not good fat either. Then it’s. Oh you can’t have oats. This comes from a guy who ate pop tarts for breakfast so…
@CryaboutitCun1I find my meal times change with the seasons. Now in winter, it's 10ish and 3ish. In tbe summer it's noon and 4.30. Spring and autumn is a sliding scale to or from these times. I always go to bed on an empty stomach
@judybrown483Breakfast is simply not necessary. If you don’t eat until later in the day you will burn off visceral fat and ultimately have more energy later in the day. It’s not a theory, it’s a scientific fact.
@mondozillaCaffeine, creatine, water, and sometimes a bit of sugar. Like a donut or bread with peanut butter. Until the afternoon after my first workshift I'll have my first meal usually consists of chicken, rice, veggies and avocado. At night after the gym and my second workshift i have ground beef or steak with white rice. Been doing this for an entire year and im in the best shape of my life. I take my daily zinc, vitamin c, liquid vitamin d & k, and magnesium glycinate before bed. Love my occasional preworkout and occasionally eat fruits.

@gloriacote2074Ad man sells you products for breakfast and sprinkles in advice, which we can’t tell whether he’s being trustworthy on as he starts his explanation by selling you product and forgoing any objectivity.
@Il-SKlDr. Berg, currently I am stuck in a wheelchair due to an incomplete spinal cord injury. I'm working on regaining leg strength, but not walking independently yet. What foods would be best?
@Indigo-mind-67Why is there an X on the egg?
@crazychicken4063How about fresh fruit for breakfast ?
@LovelyMrsSmithDid the person who made this video have ADHD?? I usually enjoy your videos, explaining slowly everything in correct order, this one is just terrible !!!
@AJB-jj5qgDr. Berg, I have tried so many organic oatmeal and it still inflames and irritates my bladder. I can’t eat it anymore. I’m not sure why organic oatmeal would cause that? Also, I recently researched on collagen and it said it is linked to causing cancer (especially breast cancer) so what do you know about those claims? It was read from a reputable source. Also, I’ve had two different medical doctors tell me to steer clear of red meat that it causes inflammation and also slows digestion (I already deal with extreme chronic constipation). Also, cheese backs me up terribly. I have tried organic coffee and it still makes my bladder angry, is bad on my digestion and caffeine highly depletes magnesium. I took a hormone diet class and it was said that caffeine is not healthy on the body? It causes hormonal imbalance and affects circadian rhythm for sleep. Any ideas? I’m finding some of the things you recommend conflicting with what I’ve come across. So it’s confusing for me.
@katy3208430 lbs in about 10 weeks. from 280 to 250 at aprox 5'10/11" Sticking to one meal a day. 800-1300 calories, it's either a low day or a high day. On the odd day were I want to cheat and have a snack it's usually a single cracker of Wasa Crispbread Sourdough and two paper thin slices of capocollo salami.
Last year I had a pot belly big enough to make kids laugh and today it is gone!

in my prime, at 30, I was 190 6% bodyfat. There is no way I will be able to get to that because I intend to put on a lot more lean muscle than I had then.
This channel helped me tremendously. Thanks Dr Berg!

@annamarielohia8291If you take any notice of this, you will starve.
@acousticguitargirl6Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all lies only YouTube content is not a lie.
@taha_mirzaIf I exercise first thing, at 5AM, should I still wait for noon to eat my first meal? Or what would you recommend? I jog, cycle and do weights. I have been training less the past couple of weeks and skipped breakfast - felt great. But now I am interested to know what would happen if I do exercise early?
@WJBouwerWait, so eat breakfast or don't breakfast? I'm totally confused..
The body naturally spikes up insulin once you wake up from your sleep. and once you continue to add insulin/ sugar into your body during breakfast, this is why many people start to feel sluggish and tired.. It's not even 9am yet..
If you’re vegan you really neeed to eat like a cow - all the time. I was always hungry despolite eating tones of food. With keto I eat less and better quality. I’ve got my eggs my chicken and my goats, Avos 🐐:)😊
@Besua18643As a jogger I cannot, just CANNOT go without eating a satient amount of carbs. Carbs are not the enemy!!! Only refined carbs are!
