Looking back, I'm not really sure why he killed Lydia. She didn't steal his money. She had nothing to do with killing Hank. The DEA never tied her to Walt, considering she is still free to continue. Walt left her the operation and his formula, so it shouldn't be that.
Seems the only reason he kills her is because he suspects she is working with Jessie as a partner, which turns out not to be true.

@CommandoX798The film artifacts might not just be dust or other junk on the lens. Radiation will also cause a very similar damage to film and considering the filming location it’s likely a couple of those film artifacts are from decaying isotopes
