That's interesting. I wonder in the future if all the locals that help the US out in wars with the expectation of asylum will be hesitant about assisting the US or providing the US with information knowing that they won't offer them any kind of protection. That's always been one of the many ways the US has had an advantage in finding high ranking generals and officials they were after. Now I suppose in the future the US is left on their own when it comes to foreign information. They had the CIA but the CIA also cut down the number of it's non white employees during the diversity cuts during Elon Musks Doge cuts which makes it harder to infiltrate other countries without agents that can blend in with the locals. Asylum and TPS for the longest was one of the many things that did allow the US to gain favor when infiltrating a foreign country. Now you'll just end up 1. Less information to help out operative intelligence 2. More people willing to resist your cause.
