I'm glad you are making this series. As someone who has been a casual player since Chapter 1 but played enough to not only want to get better, but to have tried to learn building techniques (and boxfighting in Chapter 2) to at least understand the meta, I believe that there is the potential for everyone to "know how to build". Unfortunately, Epic will never make a tutorial (or probably even understand how to create a meaningful basic tutorial) because it was basically the community that formed much of what we know of the build meta from the mechanics that Epic created. Also, much of the way I, and many other players, have learned how to build was not just during an older meta that isn't necessarily as relevant anymore, but each technique would sort of emerge and evolve in real time, which created this "piece meal" approach to learning and teaching people about building. It seems like even now YouTube channels will probably talk about the importance of learning 90's and for teaching a noob about 90's in 2025 it's going to be so esoteric and not really a transferable skill to any other aspect of building and they are just less relevant in modern Fortnite (unless you are playing OG).

Zero Builders should be Implementing building over editing, Ramp slides, High wall/ wall runs, ramp rotates, mantle 90s, door busts, window hurdles. More than just editing these days.

All Fortnite Tech is in Building...Peeks/Positioning/Tracking. If you study Builds as a Zero Builder you increase Fortnite IQ by a mile. You cap out real fast if you don't learn builds 🎉

This is exactly what I need. 1month ago I was feeling that I never gave building in fortnite a proper chance and never tried to learn cause I just sucked. Now I got the hang of it but I suck still and cant get a single kill, always getting pieced and wall taken. I stopped watching videos to learn cause nothing showed what to do and how and when to do certain things, I just keep playing hoping things would click. This structured learning is exactly what I need. Cant wait.

i realized a few months ago that most of the reason third-partying happens in zero build is because theres no reason to NOT do it.

while there is counterplay, it almost always involves you needing to reposition or use one of your resources (or a combination of both), so either way, you are almost always at an inherent advantage by being the aggressor in zero build.

whereas in regular build-mode, its not like 3rd partying doesnt happen or even happen that much less, but at least you have counterplay that doesnt require you to reposition or use an inventory resource EVERY time (not counting materials).

of course you still have an advantage by being the aggressor, but if your opponent is better than you at build fighting, EVEN if you win the fight, they will at least make you think a bit harder about who you choose to approach and when (depending on how much damage theyve done to you).

You goated Sly! I'm already much more advanced at building but I love that you cover some of the psychology so people understand their why for building and what to build to counter other builds.
