As a Swede I can provide you with the answer that this Show portrays the sad state of Sweden very accurately. In Sweden we also have a bunch of Censorship & Cancel Culture going on if you say anything bad about anything, so the fact that this show even exist let alone not holding back on the punches, makes it stand out among Swedish content. Truth can be ugly so it's nice to see that fact being brought up. I find this show serves as good reality check for people that pretend that islam is just sunshine & rainbow. You can't solve an issue until you can discuss about it honestly, especially when it's not fun to talk about. Bad Ideas lead to Bad Outcomes.

5 - A must watch - do not pass this one up

4 - It's really good, you should see it

FIGHT PROFESSORS-THEY SHOULD BE MINISTER LIKE IRAN TURKEY AMERICA MALAYSIA GERMANY(REAL CALIPHATE)

— @SAADSAAD-bi6og

3 - It's OK - maybe good for a rental

2 - It's not that good and I wouldn't recommend it

I have no pity for guys and girls like that who come from places that grants them the rights and privileges to live free, rhythm turnaround and support terrorist who attack our cities. Granted no country is perfect but it's sure better than where they come from where women have their lives controlled and used as they see fit .

— @RedpillAce

1 - It's terrible and I definitely don't recommend it

0 - Cutting off a finger is better than watching this

This show was absolutely brilliant

Very on-point review. I absolutely loved this show as this show is an edge of the seat thriller as well as one of the most realist shows ever.. it will move you..

this serie has some balls

That character Lisha was such a frustration man , damn !
But that was the main intention of the story , Lisha will evolve to become a new Pervin in the future !

And that cycle doesn’t end until this is addressed at the root level which is ideology .

I have lived in Sweden for 10 years and I can relate to some of the characters..How some people from minority communities hate Swedish govt and Swedes in general..Sweden is one of the best administered countries which takes care of the needs of their citizens very well..And an average white Swede is very kind decent and generous at least from outside. But still some people have problem with it.People from Islamic group used come and knock at my door invite me for their meetings and they also used to tell me that the religion I follow is wrong and they want to show me the right path

I was yelling at the characters too while watching

Is Pervins husband hero or villain? What you guys think?

I've seen reviewers shy away from talking about the way life in Syria under ISIS is portrayed in the film. But I don't see anything wrong in saying its obviously the "dark" of the movie. The scenes in Raqqa are showing the draconian rule of an extremist terrorist group that's taken over the country. And I don't see it as a reflection of Islam as it is practiced by the majority of its followers. The themes of Caliphate that I can see are "extremism bad" "de-radicalization and anti-terror - good"

Islam is not about this.

I enjoyed that series so much it was entertaining, intense and very emotional. I'm Muslima myself. It's amazing how realistic they pictured life with IS. Of course all of the pictured Muslims in the series are no role models at all. In fact there was not a single one you can look up too. As well as these YouTube "Imams" who forbid election. I had to shake my head at every single one of them but it's about the terror organization anyways. Most of us are living the Islam peacefully. So please don't mistake us.

I watched this one on Netflix too but the scenes which were supposed to be in Turkey is from an Arab country(Maybe Jordan or sth) and definitely not Turkey and policemen in Turkey cannot have a beard which is shown in one scene with beard, the claimed Turkish girls are Arabs. So, once again, the ignorence shows up or malicious intentions(like always) against Turks. Those producers do know very well that Turkey is more developed than most of EU countries but they always want to show Turks like a muslim state(while doing that they show a 3rd world country). Maybe it's because of their jealousy or a hate comes from Ottoman Empire. I really do not understand why they do it on purpose.

** Ok, I found out that the shooting placed in Jordan! And the scenes of Istanbul and Ankara is even from there! Ahahaha that's hilarious! We can totally understand how stupid production team is.

Ends never justify the means. Means are all we have. Sometimes, we're in a position where we are forced to choose what actions we will take, but we have to own that and never make excuses or rationalize later. That said - I'm trying to watch nature documentaries, history docs., comedies - anything but what reflects the present state of the world. I just need a break from reality right now. :)

Your review was spot on! Agreed 100%. Although some scenes were hard to watch, it was completely entertaining and kept you anxious to see what was next. Great show!

Is the ending “happy”? If it’s a sad ending, I can’t bring myself to watch it.

@yarakfouri2945

Oh man! I have watched 3 or 4 episodes but I have stopped...for now. I have mixed feelings on this. There are certainly some tense moments that are engaging to watch! I am very invested in Pervin's story (whose actions make sense to me and her situation seem very authentic and real) but, the other females are really bothering me with many of the choices they make...if that makes sense. I'm finding Fatima, Sulle, and Karima to be very annoying and I'm not understanding many of their choices. Did any of what I say make sense?! 😂 Probably not! I've still got The Platform stuck in my head which I have a lot of thoughts and mixed feelings on!
