I’m a musician and I know for a fact that music has effects on people. Sometimes dogs too, but I’m always kinda unsure of how. My 4 year old Redbone Coonhound cut his foot bad the other day, and we’re having to keep an otherwise healthy, outdoor dog, inside. In a cage. Sometimes with a cone on his head. Tonight he was extra unhappy about the whole cone in the cage thing, and I decided to come lay in the recliner we have by his cage, and I looked up calming music for dogs and this was the first thing that popped up. Literally within the first few seconds he laid down, and a few minutes in he’s almost asleep. This is crazy. And amazing how God uses music the way He does.

Yeah, dogs I've had are still very special to me. I've had horrific things in my life happened and locked myself away and the only thing that kept me at peace was a meditative walk in my mind with my dog who I had to part with. He'd walk me thru the dark on a path down the street until I fell asleep.

@tammyconti6756If u are someone who lights fireworks with neighbors who have dogs, PLEASE, check with them before hand. My dog is so terrified im worried he will have a heart attack! He gets THAT scared. People dont understand what it does to them. Every year i go thru this horrible situation because hes so scared. Just please take them into consideration is all im asking.

I still do, and how they mistreat such animals, but all of your comments have put my mind to ease, giving me hope and happiness that their still are good people out there treating them as they should. @MookieII2010I adopted a 8yr old dog recently. He spent 7 years on a 1 meter long chain living a horrible life. I took him cause they wanted to put him down/get rid of him. One time when there was a thunder storm, the house of his previous owners got struck by lightning and since then he is horrified of storms even when its only raining. Right now, we are laying on the bathroom floor (his safe place) listening to this, he is slowly starting to realise the fact that he finally has a home and that theres no need to worry.
