I loved roleplaying gym leaders/e4s back then but I would never copy their in-game line up one to one. Nor would I copy their learned moves one to one. It's honestly random and makes no sense especially since game design is a human choice, so it's someone else's pref

I have to be that guy, Shellder is only water type. So Icicle Spear was weak without stab & Rock Tomb.wasn't super effective.
Also, Lorelei is the Strongest because she is a gorgeous redhead, and they always deserve to be the best.

The problem with gym leaders and elite 4 is you have no idea what their team actually is. Only what their theme is. The teams they use to challenge trainers isn’t the same they use for everything

With this, I've watched all of your videos in this style. For the next Elite 4 one you make, consider the rule of having to keep their movesets identical to the game as well. It's gonna make it way harder and the video may be shorter, but sounds like a good challenge. I don't think the audience minds seeing them fail (in fact, I kind of like it when one of them doesn't make it 😅)

I always thought it was BS as a kid that Gary was able to get through Kanto without any of his Pokemon learning any of the HM's.

And this kinda applies to the elite 4 also.

Like how did Gary get to Cinnabar Island without Surf, or Fly?

How did he get through the Tunnels without Flash, or Strength?

And how did he even get to the elite 4 battle center, and traverse like half the Routes without Cut?
