The guy who owns the software company in Dallas and hires foreign workers is full of it! The issue is that he can import cheaper labor under the visa program, and then they have kids and then are allowed to stay. In 1981 I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas knowing basic Fortran/Cobol having learned how to punch IBM cards. The problem was there was already new replacement technology in place as everything was moving to smaller and smaller machines that worked much faster. I spent four years learning something I would never use. Shame on our education system. We can do better than having to import our labor pool.....my sister lost two big jobs in a row being outsourced undered the immigration visa program....once for AIG and the second time for another company called Blackline. She was forced to train her replacements to get her severance.....that is outrageous.
