July 2026 : Sentenced to life without parole.

And her lawyers are FIGHTING the Court on how the judge was one sides. 😅 Her lawyers are disgusting.

Kouri Richins is a disgusting, vile human being. The "mothering" she did to her boys just shows that those boys were just money tokens for her. And the stress she caused Eric and his family. Rest in POWER, Eric Richins

Here from the future. Holy... I had never heard what an incredible rags-to-riches story she already had from marrying this man. And I've never actually seen pictures of the McMansion before — I would NEVER, you can tell there's something horrendously wrong here just from how unfinished the house is, and the total lack of development in the area... Kouri clearly had not one iota of sense whatsoever. I feel so bad for her poor children and Eric's family.

It was dumb not to leave her after she messed with the life insurance

@flamingodahlia3703
@

I’m trying so hard not to victim blame but if he had all of these suspicions, why stay with her? As rich as he was… He could have been anywhere in the world. I mean… I know he probably didn’t want to leave his kids behind but if he truly believed she would kill him... the end product would still be him being away from his children. It’s just confusing.

The fact that this book is just about losing a father not a mom or both parents

@dorcasmumba8989
@

43:30 it's actually even dumber and crazier than what you said. Eric and Cody had entered a buy-sell agreement which involved purchasing life insurance policies on each other for the sake of their business. This was a binding agreement where if either Eric or Cody died, the insurance company would pay the other business partner enough to buy out the shares of the company (this was millions of dollars) owned by the deceased. Importantly, Eric and Cody made this agreement before Eric had even met Kouri. Kouri wasn't restoring herself as the beneficiary of a personal life insurance policy. Kouri was trying to steal from Eric's business. However, she screwed up catastrophically. She accidentally named herself the beneficiary of Cody's business life insurance policy, not Eric's. She realized her mistake, but only after she had finalized the change. Then, she went back into the account and became the sole beneficiary of Eric's business life insurance in direct violation of the buy-sell agreement. Predictably, making such major changes to accounts that could pay out millions from an unfamiliar email address (that had Kouri's name in it) got these actions flagged. Both Eric and Cody received full documentation of this and a high-ranking insurance agent got involved to affirm that these actions were fraudulent. A small child with crumbs all over their face would have a better chance of convincing parents they weren't eating cookies than Kouri would of convincing her husband or his business partner that her actions were legitimate.

@henryisthere
@

The funniest part about Kouri's McMansion is that the land is owned by the Army Corps of Engineers. The Army Corps of Engineers has the power to enact eminent domain over the land and all structures without compensating anyone stupid enough to develop there. A representative of the army could show up and say: "we're demolishing all manmade structures to build an artillery range." That could (and still can) happen any time. Why would you want that property?

@henryisthere

Why on earth did she buy $1800 worth of fent!? Unless she was using it herself that seems like an insane amount.

@mkd394
@

Medical and street fentanyl are the same; the danger of street fent is that you don't have a professional administering a safe dose and standing by to make sure you don't OD. And street fent is often mixed with other drugs, which can make it more lethal as well.

Decriminalization and safe supply will save lives!

@mkd394

So love your channel
But a couple of things
Eric's sister called Kouri's kids her boys when Eric was still alive, I find that strange
The living trust was set up so Kouri and each of the boys inherited a share
The family home is usually a marital asset due to both parties investing time , energy and care into the home
Eric had been on Oxycodone for a back injury, not trying to shame him, he had a documented injury and prescription
The dealer was a female up on charges that got special considerations for following detectives leading interrogation
They were unable to put the drugs in Kouri's hands
Eric had purchased some pain medicine during a fishing trip to Mexico, for pain.
And Eric's sister did hire a PI to follow Kouri around starting the week after Eric passed. That would put any widow on edge

Why, why, why was he still taking food or drink from her? Why was he still living with her after the first suspected poisoning.

Why did he keep being in her presence when she was changing his will?

I do not get it.

This chick sealed her Fate by fighting in court over money with the sister. This is in no way shape or form a woman who's grieving her dead husband. Money. Only thing she's focused on and you know the family would take care of those boys

Not trying to place blame at all.. I’ve been through this case a few times… and each time it’s like … if you pretty much already know your wife had just tried to poison you, why the hell did you stay along enough for her to do it again? I’m very curious

23:00 prenuptials are fine. What's not fine is approaching someone on the day of the wedding without prior agreement. Of course this doesn't negate what happened later

I do think it's weird that one party can just change the prenup. That being said, this is evil. Really sad.
