I had long forgotten about this film. I heard the name of it once again while searching for filmmakers who only started their job late in life, because I aspire to be one but fear it might take to long and needed some encouragement. I am majoring in audiovisual and multimedia studies so I do have hope to work in the film industry. Claire Denis made this film when she was 42, I am 21, which means, in a way, that I still have 21years to make my dream come true. Call me crazy, but remembering a movie whose name I forgot 10 years ago is a sign that I am going to make it in the end. Well, wish me luck!

The point of this movie is amazing. How they discovered 30% wasn’t just a measurement fraction or percentage it did things. It held trace elements of lead which once activated you felt love

I liked this movie. Juliette Binoche is charming: like my dachshund. She is not only beautiful but also a very strong and characteristic actress. Dame Judi Dench then... she is totally in her own class. I have seen her in so many productions. Her performance in a movie that was based on William Shakespeare's play "McBeth" is unforgettable. Then in the tv-series "As Time Goes By". She does not even have to talk, because her face tells everything. Johnny Depp did very good work in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape", but I don't think he will ever get very far as an actor because he can act only in certain type of roles. For an actor or actress, a pretty face is not enough. Acting is a profession that requires imagination. You have to be able to imagine that you are someone else than you really are outside the stage. One actress said that sometimes it is difficult to "come back" to real life when she comes home from the theatre, because in her mind she is still the person in that play. If I had to to such work, I would go totally crazy. Am I Vivienne Leigh or Scarlet O'Hara? I am sorry if I offend someone by saying that I am not a great fan of Johnny Depp, but I am an old woman, and Johnny Depp is more favoured by teenage girls than my kind of old wicked witches.

Welch ein zauberhafter Film…nach all denen Jahren der Leichtigkeit der Vergessenheit ist er mir immer in meinem Gedächtnis verhaftet geblieben und wird es auch für immer und ewig bleiben! Luc…nein…das allein weckt Emotionen in mir, welche mich anregen alles neu zu überdenken…was man je für fix gedacht hat…Free your mind…ein kleiner Exkurs in die englische Sprache sei hierbei erlaubt. Alles anderes würde es nicht exakt ausdrücken. Ich hatte das Glück diesen Film im Kino zu erleben/sehen…vielleicht springt ein kleiner Funke auf Euch über❤️Kurzum laßt Euch darauf ein...❤️

The scene where the priest guy is singing Elvis got me wondering why didn't anyone in that village have a television? The film takes place in 1959 and I know there were televisions in France during that year. The village in the film had electricity and radios but why not televisions?

I have only finished watching this movie now, and I have a desire to watch it again. What a wonderful movie! I loved everything The story is inspiring and different، The actors are truly amazing. The soundtrack is amazing. It is truly my favorite genre 🤍
