💡 About The Video:
Great video, I am just starting with using click up and this video I felt explained a lot in a quick but efficient way. Not too long, just came from your last video of ClickUp. Excited to use this tool.
Most ClickUp tutorials throw you into features without explaining why the platform is structured the way it is, which is exactly why people set it up wrong and end up with a mess. This tutorial starts with the hierarchy because understanding it before touching anything else is the single most important thing a new user can do. The hierarchy runs from Workspace at the top down through Spaces, Folders, Lists, and Tasks, and every setup decision flows from that structure. The Spaces chapter covers creating your first Space with clean status stages and the right ClickApps enabled without overloading it on day one. The Folders and Lists chapter builds out real project structure inside a Space, and the Tasks chapter walks through every field that matters: assignees, due dates, priorities, subtasks, checklists, and the comment section that keeps all context in one place.
The views chapter covers List, Board, and Calendar as the three starting points for new users, explaining that all views show the same tasks in a different format rather than being separate systems. The automation chapter sets up a practical trigger-action rule that drops a comment automatically when a task moves to Review, covering the free plan limits of five active automations and 100 actions per month. The Goals chapter links a measurable target to a real list so that task completions automatically update goal progress, giving you a live view of whether your work is moving toward the outcome that matters. The team permissions chapter covers the Admin, Member, and Guest roles and how to control Space-level access so each person only sees what is relevant to their work.
The entire tutorial runs on ClickUp's Free Forever plan, which includes unlimited tasks and unlimited members with no credit card required. Use the link in the description to get started and follow along from the beginning.
