What if someone has most of Cluster A and C, would that be a comorbidity or Mixed type?
Are personality disorders mental illness? A Personality disorder is a pattern of inner experience and behavior that deviates from the expectations of a person's culture.
Although these patterns of behavior are considered disorders in the diagnostic and statistical manual, we don't think of them as illnesses in the same way we think of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression or even ADHD. With these illnesses we see disruptions in brain chemistry that are responsible for these illnesses. But the personality disorders are patterns of thinking and behavior that just develop with you. We all have characteristics of some of these personality disorders. We call it having certain personality features or traits. But if you have several of the traits of a particular disorder such that it causes dysfunction in all of these areas of your life, then it would be considered the disorder. So a person can have features of narcissism without having the full-blown narcissistic personality disorder.
I don't want to remember
In this video I discuss the 10 personality types and how they are clustered into groups based on characteristics they share. The 10 personality types are:
Cluster A (odd or eccentric):
Inter pret, not interpet.
Paranoid personality disorder, Schizoid personality disorder, Schizotypal personality disorder
Cluster B (dramatic or erratic):
Es cape, not ex cape.
Antisocial personality disorder, Borderline personality disorder, Histrionic personality disorder, Narcissistic personality disorder
Cluster C (anxious):
Well lookie here... in 2026...ALOT of "personalities" have ZERO interest and no f*cks to give regarding the expectations of this culture. Thats not a disorder. Thats cause and effect; natural law. People treated like sh*t as children, bullied, outcast shunned, grow up to be adults who don't give a f*ck about others expectations. I think psychology is and interesting "read" but not science. And wr have a country that prioritzes the careers of "psychologists" over the outcomes of their "clients". In other words, its a placeholder for ACTUAL mental health treatment...because psychiatrists are too expensive for insurance coverage. Name any other "illness" that is CAPPED at 26 visits per year? Sensitive people are mocked, beat up, misunderstood. Some cave in on themselves in a cruel world. Some become serial k*llers. Psychologists have little to offer either. General Repair is simply calling it out. Truth tellers get punished first in "systems", starting with families. Real peace is inside. In solitude. 😊
Avoidant personality disorder, Dependent personality disorder, Obsessive-compulsive personality disorder

My best friend is bipolar and she has always been the sweetest girl who is extremely diplomatic on social media so I know that it’s not the disorder causing people to be a-holes
More User Perspectives
By your definition Depression is a personality disorder.
@npinc9988Is it a lot of work to change your personality? Yes. Years of work, messing up, and then continuing to use better coping mechanisms and working with your therapist on the way you relate to yourself and others. I think I’ve made a lot of progress. I’m on my 3rd year at a job (longest I’ve ever made it). I’m learning not to hurt people I love any longer. That is what therapy is. To change the way you look at the world and act within it. I remain hopeful and committed to the work.
@CandaceHoffmannpseudoscience.
@Dobro123We could sit here all day, every day dissecting all kinds of nonsense, when, in reality, the greatest of all advice is to simply reflect and then act on:
“Before calling out the speck in someone else’s eye, take out the Log from your own.”
Being a good example speaks to places where words and criticism cannot reach.

@AndreaAkers-cb8ciI love how cheeky you and your viewers are.
@arthropodstopicThat definition of a personality disorder is brutal. If it thrawrts the expectation of my culture, so what? That doesn't mean it is wrong or disordered.
Would a Muslim from the third world who didn't want a child bride have a personality disorder?
There should be a check of patients for this
@NestoriHuuskonenPersonality is overrated. Too much focus on personality is solipsistic.
The narcissism fad is deeply regrettable. Lots of bad behaviour and whining about "narcs" from people who just need to get over themselves.
We need to be less hyper-social. Ted K was right. It's the source of so much evil in humanity.
A human alone or with another is fine. Any more than that and they become stupid, status-obsessed apes.
im sorry we can all agree that that wine glass was mostly empty lmaoo
@randislaysIt's my dad who presents these traits on B cluster

@judyharbaugh4234@generalrepair You might be interested in the Heal NPD channel with Dr. Mark Ettensohn. He treats NPD and puts out great content that isn’t shaming. The non-shaming approach is something I really appreciate about Dr. Marks as well!!

@MS-stk456I am almost sure I have Histrionic Personality Disorder and you're the first one that seems to be talking to me and not to the other people that should be "scared" of me.

@shelleydonnaaundreyFREE ACA meetings over time are a tool of healing for everyone who commits
@RHNOW113My coworker was diagnosed with bpd but she definitely displays npd and aspd traits too. I was friends with her initially, until I realised that she couldn't care less whether I lived or died, and she enjoyed pushing me to that point. Now I am happy and outgoing again, she hates that.
@spektrum42not all with ASD have developmental delays, why would you say that? These overgeneralizations have got to stop when ASD is mentioned.
@medievalunicornI've been diognosed with major depression, severe anxiety PTSD and insomnia.
The first thing I learned about it was that in my life, it's my problem and nobody elses.
I don't have to take it out on the world. In my worst moments, I excuse myself from the outside world. Better for me and everybody else.

I'm 53. I have a personality disorder. I didn't know until quite recently. Had no idea.
I've been living alone for over 35 years. Sometimes I go weeks without speaking to anyone.
I tried CBT and it didn't take. I understood it, and it changed my thinking for a while, but it didn't take.
I'm well aware what people think of me. I don't hate them.
I like animals.
❤ excellent
@Star-dj1kwThabk you.
@dwilson6769I was mocked and talked about for praying and speaking to God when I was alone, including in my car, which led coworkers and others to monitor me and label me as “crazy,” despite the fact that I do not speak to myself around others. I later saw my doctor for FMLA paperwork and a mental health evaluation, was fully honest, and was confirmed to have no mental disorder; instead, I was diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety related to long-term mistreatment, childhood trauma, and the loss of family members who raised me. I am employed by the United States Postal Service in Forest Park, Illinois, and my work environment became extremely uncomfortable due to wrongful assumptions about my mental health and continued discrimination even after my correct diagnosis was confirmed.

@JulioBorja-Minimalist⏳
@JulioBorja-MinimalistI studies psychology on my own. Even though personality disorders are part of the mental health field, I always thought of them as separate disorders. Mental illness as one that doesn’t intentionally cause harm to others but causes more harm on themselves, while personality disorders tend to harm others more often with having a sense of what they are doing
@EverythingsotayblogPerfect summary of what I was taught in college last year. Blessings.
@MacyJones-m7hGreat video Doctor. By jove I think I got it.
@drewsibleyloansI was raised in a dark triad family. In my opinion, these people absolutely 100% are Insane.
@laurajane4806I always say, "OCD pays off". I rarely have to look for anything because I know what I would have done if I dont remember. :-)
@laurajane4806Your information on autism here is incorrect.
@thejulieesmithThis video’s editing is soooo much better than your new videos. No music background, no distractions. Just better
@BenzVito-y1eI’ll say it again the World is f ed up by evil forces and all these disorders are the result of people going through the traumas of Modern day life ! 95% of the time there is no internal cause of these so called illnesses .They are just peoples way of reacting to Today’s unmanageable stressors ! 😢
@JHC63Most of the people I encounter seem to be more of the Cluster F variety........
@bobbylibertiniNo because illness has a cure. Personality disorders are series of choices the user agrees to that don't go along with an amenable society. Cluster B specifically think they're above everyone and above the rules. They are all manipulative, self victimizing and toxic.
@underdog.army7Doctors don't give a fuck! The old trout in this video could not give a f*** less for anyone, they re just a wage to her, a source of entertainment. And wage
