Big glasses are actually good for every day glasses wearers. It’s extremely bad to look through a tiny space that has your prescription in the middle and your natural sight on the corners. Even if I wanted to switch it would cause my sight damage for sure.

lol I've been wearing bloomers on and off since i was into lolita fashion in 2015 😂 I've been wearing them casually with boots since 2021. I can't see myself cringing at them. I can't imagine myself cringing at my past fashion choices in general tbh 🤔

Aviators and other chunky glasses were not strictly sunglasses first; back in the 50s - 80s it was pretty routine to see them as just... glasses. Boot cut jeans were expressly made to fit over boots but I mean I suppose you can shove them into your boots? Fashion desperately needs to rediscover ironing and steamers if they're going to wear slips again, especially if they're on the outside front and center. Those wrinkly slips are NOT IT. Bloomers, they're really cute in the right context! And maybe unpopular opinion but I just wish athleisure would just die already, especially pairing it with actually nice pieces like that come on. It looks so bad, like people are getting dressed in the dark. The lack of ironing just cements it. The layering trend is not new at all, and moderate layering versus not layering are both also not new. Like, super not new. Like, before my ancient ass was born kind of not new. I know this is an opinion piece but I found myself starved for bigger picture. You've got a good eye, and I think learning more about the history and origins of these fashions will only make your content better. Keep at it.

I will admit, to me the microshorts is just a new name (and modernized take on) 1970s "hot pants" aka 2010s "short shorts" for this new trend cycle. Will be waiting to see if Daisy Dukes trends under a new name soon in this vein. 😅

The excessive layering has always looked odd to me. It’s one thing to put a tank top underneath a long sleeve henley or putting a tank top over top a baby t but anything more than that just looks silly. Maybe this is a hot take but a skirt over pants just looks overstimulating for everyday wear.

How are ballet flats a TREND they were around before the 20s. The shapes have remained the same, and aside from the demographics, not much has changed about them. Is that what makes it trendy??

I first saw someone wearing those big square glasses two years ago in uni. They weren't trendy (they were mostly used during the 70s and 80s here) and i could tell the girl was wearing them bc it actually fitted in with her style and she needed to use glasses (she wore blazers, flowy dresses with flower patterns, she had a bit if a vintage/classic style) and i loved those glasses and her style bc it was all cohesive. I think seeing fashion influencers wearing glasses never looks good bc theyre not actually dependent on glasses. People that will use them every day tend to have one (maybe two if they have the budget lol) style of glasses that go well with all of their clothes and idk just looks genuine, you can tell its actually part of that persons style. While influencers make glasses look cheap. Like idk all the pictures you showed of those glasses were also making me think they look bad lol but ive seen them look good in person

Weird take on the glasses especially if you don’t wear them. As someone who’s needs to wear glasses and has been wearing them before “trends” it’s the small micro y2k glasses that seem to come and go. As people that wear glasses know the large glasses are better for actually seeing day to day and more functional if you have a higher prescription.

Most of these people that wear these glasses trends big or small are wearing cheap none prescription glasses

sure but some of these are kind of age-relative? Teenagers and 20 somethings are wearing the low rise baggy jeans, or older women who fit the certain body type that is catered to (flat stomach, thin). they're wearing the bloquette, layered trends etc. They aren't the ones tucking jeans into stiletto boots. That definitely influences the lifespan of a trend. BTW those probably aren't "readers" as those are mostly young people, who tend to be nearsighted. Readers are for those who are farsighted and need glasses up close, which is almost exclusively a function of aging.

tbh im gonna always layer and mix patterns because I just like it. Some things will stay with people who just simply dress the way they want despite a trend.But Though I do think you're right lol because some people layer the wrong things together and we will look back and cringe at some of those looks.
