I tent camp and avoid RVs like the plague. It is just a different mindset. RVs are noiser and much more vehicle and lights oriented. Many come with extra cars or trucks that drive a lot. Lots of bikes, mopeds and escooters Generators to run AV,TVs, kitchens, fans, etc. Late night turnins and parties till 10 or later. Some run generators at night if there is not a camp host to stop them...most don't though after 11pm.

I understand this is your fun...but my vibe is quiet, dark and simplified...so I like it best if tent camping is seperated....very seperated. I will boondock to dispersed campsites if I can find them....however I do have to give up water and bathroom.

That would so piss me off if somebody their sewer hoses across a picnic table and draining it how many people have done this and I didn’t know that… yes we put table cloths and seat cushions down, but all around the ground we’re walking on is sewage, rinsed water?… yes I take the shoes up before we go in the camper. It’s a nice camper thank God.

Don't use an impact on your stabilizers because you're too lazy to crank them by hand. Don't use a leaf blower on your campfire because you're too lazy to properly stoke the fire.

First rule of sewer hose is to dump black first, close that valve, then use grew tank's water to flush the hose while grey tank dumps. Not rocket science and it saves time. Plus it keeps the smells in the drain where it belongs.

These are all things you'd think one wouldn't need to say, but just like the signs on the toilets of the RVs for sale that say, Do Not Use!, they are there because some people just don't think about others. As a traveling construction worker. I do appreciate this video! And for the visitors to my spot, no, you can't use my bathroom!

We were tent camping in a state park and a bunch of very noisy scouts pulled in at 11 pm and the adults were the loudest. Before cellphones.

So this video was created for sensitive people within a sensitive campground. 😒😒

After 45 years of working maintenance in campgrounds. There are some more things to add to your list. Burning things in you fire pit that smell horrible to the entire campground. Plastics are the worst, old and discarded food stinks too. Then there's the A hole that thinks the hose bibb is their personal hookup that supposed to be shared by a half a dozen sites not to mention the possible cross contamination from the self-center person that hooks up their water to the hose bibb. And that's just scratching the surface.

I do like RV travel but not so much campsites. Always more to put up with than you want if they are full. Most people are respectful and are tolerable, but it still is not all that great. You don't get much for all you pay. We have an OK campground we use when visiting in the UP in Michigan and sometimes do a campground between in travel. It's just a place to park for a night's rest. There really is no great daytime experience in any RV park. Too many people not enough fun. More power to all you people who like bunches of people and campgrounds.

Wow. Camping is supposed to be fun. Some of us own a house and our campers are for recreation. Some of this is common sense, but some of it is really petty. When people walk through our campsite to go use the facility or take out trash, my wife and I use it as an opportunity to say hello and maybe make a friend. Ma'am, you need to get your spool un-wound a bit and loosen up. If a rule isn't written down, it's not a rule, it's your preference. I don't tell others how to live and no one spends $110k on a truck, and $85k on a camper, just to be told what to do with them. Even if it's someone who just has a tent, it's theirs and they are paying to be there too. I'm not saying it's okay to be disrespectful, it's not, but that knife cuts both ways. You may live there, but you are paying lot rent in a place others are going to have fun. Let them! My wife and I used to go camping after every deployment, so I could transition back to normal life without it hitting all at once. I'm grateful for all those I met doing that, because it helped a lot, and I'm glad I never met you. Most of the time, you meet the best kind of people in the world when camping. They are usually incredibly kind and just need to meet people like them. It lets them know good people are still out there and the whole world isn't rude and selfish. Please forgive me for being a bit rude, but if people see this, and take it to heart, it will make camping feel as isolated as the rest of life. God bless.

Good stuff as always and love the blooper reels. I must admit, and it is probably my emerging GOM side, that it is a bit depressing, albeit not particularly surprising, that people need to see a list like this. While there are a few things unique to the RV environment, and reminders are always helpful, much of what you described (very articulately btw) is simple awareness paired with plain old common decency that has become not so common. Thanks for taking the time to share these and hope to cross paths one day.

Mobile RV tech here. I violate rule #1 all the time. Idk what to tell you. Im not navigating around the 5 sites to get from my van to the camper im working on. I violate rule 6 as well. RV owners are weird. I set my tool bag on the picnic table of the neighbor of the rv i was working on and the dude came out and asked me not to. Fair enough. I took it off the picnic table. He pulled his camper out of the site 15 minutes later.......

Go "camping" where other people dont. Problems solved.

Karens are everywhere. Mind your p's and q's or just use com'mon sense and they will stay in their campers... hopefully.
