I-35 from about 3009 in Schertz To Walzem Rd will get you fired especially in the morning, it is crazy and draining and dont let it be an accident, you will be SOL. Just visit San Antonio and see for yourself.... If you happen to move here before they finish I-35, make sure you give yourself a least an hour & a ½ cushion time to arrive at your destination on time especially if its for work or an appt, if you're going futher than downtown make that 2 hours.

@glb360I grew up in Camelot (NE San Antonio) during the 1970's. When I moved here from Houston, Walzem Rd. was a two-lane road. It was a great place to be back then. After Windsor Park Mall was built, VIA started bringing in people from the east side of San Antonio. That was the beginning of the end for NE San Antonio. The street gangs moved in. Now it's one of the most dangerous parts of San Antonio. The demographic bacteria have now worked their way up through Converse, into Universal City, and now threatens Schertz. I miss the days when Schertz was a quiet little berg.

@Koolztuff-qg3dvWhen I first moved into the Alamo Ranch area the only thing you had to worry about was hitting wildlife like a deer. Fast forward to now you have to worry about running out of gas while stuck in the traffic. It's horrible and getting worse every week. Other than the traffic, you'll have to pull me out of here kicking and screaming because I love this area. Everything is so convenient and close. Like any city you have to pick and choose your battles.

@glb360123I'd rather live near the new north rich side of town than be concerned with traffic because of theft. The thieves have been driving even far out west but they don't drive all the out to new master plan communities that are gated with security. Everything from the La Cantera area and up is the best part of San Antonio imo.

@adambarnett4509Do yourself a favor, don't move here. There are no big corporations here, only one sports team and not even big concerts come here. The culture Is wonderful and that's where it ends. Bad drivers, construction and people are not as friendly as you might think. Trust me I lived here for over 30 years and it's going downhill. And you will not like our seasons there are only two hot and very hot. Good luck

@theofficialgaroBought my first home in the alamo ranch area, great for families and if you plan to do everything in the area but the traffic is a nightmare.

@bigdaddyrichard75I live very much close to 10604 and Culebra, outside the loop. Right next to Alamo Ranch. Traffic on Culebra is a nightmare every day of the week. I really like it here, but traffic can get insane! Another problem is the price of new homes. I got into my house at 170k back in 2012 for a brand new 1556sq ft home. Now the new home builders are asking $350k plus for a home that is the same size as mine in my area in 2026. That is absolutely ridiculous.
