Snowcats are basically the same as YouTube channel. More pressure of having to be in front of a camera.

I got a Vocaster Two Studio Set last year during the Black Friday Week. At first i had a very low signal, and thought the mic is bad, but the issue wasn't the Mic, it was the cable which was also included. I bought another cable the signal now is really great... The set was under 100€ + 10€ for the other cable. The Set includes the Vocaster two, Headphones, a DM14v Microphone and a XLR-Cable

Hi, I always watch your videos with great interest because you have a unique ability to explain things and concepts. I'm putting all the pieces together to create my podcast. I have a pretty clear idea, but I wanted to ask you for some advice/opinion regarding equipment. I see that all podcasters use a microphone, a microphone arm, and headphones. I'd like to avoid all of this and get an all-in-one product, namely headphones with a good XLR dynamic microphone. If you go for serious professional equipment, you'll spend more or less the same amount, but I think headphones with everything built in are much more practical. I can't figure out why no podcast uses headphones with a built-in microphone? I did a bit of research and found this: Sennheiser HMD 300 X3K1. I use an untreated but quiet room and I'd get the Focus Rite Vocaster Two sound card, which I've read is very good. I prefer the warm, radio-like voice. My question is, what do you think? Is the fact that no one uses it because they discarded it or didn't think of it? Thank you so much in advance for your reply.

I like the portable nature of that small video caster. Cheap and does the job. I have Zoom recorders and Rode pro wireless mics which are more than adequate for sound recording and field work. iphone does the job for a camera. Thx

Thank you for putting up a video that makes getting started accessible! There are way too many vids out there advertising what you “need” to get started - recommending things like Rodecasters and Shure mics. Sure, those are great, but “you gotta just hit record” and grow, instead of trying to get the “perfect” setup before you start. Well done, thank you for sharing!

Don't forget about Davinci Resolve for recording audio! Fairlight in Resolve is a pretty pro level DAW and the free version of Resolve has 90% of everything the paid version has. It's especially great if you're also doing video, it's all in one platform.
