F1 Constructors Champion Cars in racing games (1995 - 2025) - Benetton, Williams, McLaren and more

Video Overview & Insights

Formula 1 exists since 1950 and since 1958 there is also a cup or championship for constructors. Here you can see the cars that won the Constructors Championship since 1995, each shown in one of the most recent racing games to feature it, showing off the history and evolution of the F1 car designs and engine sounds. Enjoy the show!

Why not taking the 1995 game for the benetton instead ?

Nice video idea. The Benetton looks nice in chase cam with all those colors. I never noticed those stripes in the TV footage of that car.

The Constructors Championship is usually won by the team that the Drivers Champion is racing for but there have also been 12 cases where a different team managed to win, including in 2024.

Some of the cars from the 90s and 2000s are featured as classic cars in recent games like F1 2020, while others are only available in the games from back then. I am showing the cars in modern games here whenever possible, as this is not a video about the evolution of the games and I want to show the cars in high quality when available.

In 2007 and 2008 there were no F1 games but the 2007 winner is included as a classic car in later games. The 2008 Ferrari is not included in any official F1 games though, as it didn't win the drivers championship. Thankfully Test Drive Ferrari features it though.

If this video does well, then I might do another one later that also features cars from before 1995, although in that case I would have to skip some cars that don't exist in any game at all.

Which F1 cars and which seasons between 1995 and 2025 were your favorites? Feel free to share your thoughts and anecdotes about the history and evolution of F1 cars in the comments.

Note: In 2007 McLaren actually earned more points than Ferrari but they were excluded from the Constructors Championship. Also in 1997 Frentzen finished 3rd in points but officially finished 2nd because Michael Schumacher was disqualified for his collision in the final race.
