Deformed Buck. I had one very similar to that up in Fife. One of his testicles was much smaller than the other. I believe such damage gives asymmetric growth in the antlers. He was an old buck carrying plenty of scars, so suspect he had plenty of battles over the years.

We have had a couple of different heads on roe bucks this year. The problem has been frost bite in the velvet. 1 antler is fine,the other has a hole or distortion. Healthy animals.

Such a different perspective from whitetail deer hunting in Texas. We only hunt in the fall and early winter (mid Oct to early Jan) and limit is one to two bucks with doe permits possibly available based on conservation goals. No shooting after sunset or before sunrise. Certainly makes me consider hunting in the UK since you guys go after all kinds of things almost all of the year. Not so sure I'm up for a software based rifle scope. Pick something flat shooting and keep in the range with a plus/minus of the vital organs area. But if you have to harvest as much as you guys do, cost per pound of ground round goes down.
