The best part is that this is basically how Alexander Dumas described D'Artagnan's fighting style in the original book. Sure, it is spiced up to 11 because its a movie, but the book basically describes D'Artagnan fighting as him jumping around, kicking, spinning around, being a cocky bastard and completely unpredictable. A natural talent with a sword who knows exactly how good he is and is too young and too cocky about it.

They have striped Constance off her personality from the story😢. She’s really passive in this movie

This looks like a really good version of The Three musketeers very nicely done I must say

I wonder every time: what if Athos had said "no"? (Porthos wouldn't, since he found it all way to amusing XD)

Never much appreciated this but rewatching it now, I can't stop seeing amusing bits and parts 🤩

I like how quickly Porthos went from "kill the boy" to liking the boy.

Love how Porthose doesn't draw his sword completely the whole time but just keeps beating the crap out of the guards until he runs out of stuff to beat them with and then looking at the remaining guards pops up his sword just a little as if to say "I just kicked your asses without drawing this. Are you sure you want me to?"😆😆

Yes, this movie is very average and the plot is not great. Yes, there's no characterisation and all the protagonists are basically stereotypes. Yes, I love this movie.

Aramis's situational awareness is fantastic during this fight, as he uses his opponent to shield him from the knife throw. Only to turn around and land a beautiful throw right in the heart. Then proceeds to use wagon to give himself the high ground.

I know this is Hollywood but Jesus, at least try to make a more believable scene, this is so dumb it looks like a circus act.

Was D´Artagnan an outsider who still was part of the elite musketeers? Athos & Milady had a tight relation, almost as if history had bundled them together.

Why didn't their mage used his wand to cast magic? The fight would've been over sooner if he did 😆

this movie is absolutely WILD, but I have a real soft spot for it, and this is just a really well made action scene (and the soundtrack is just wonderful)

I've never seen this movie. From the comments below, people say it wasn't very popular. From this fight scene, I must admit I'm not too keen on seeing it after all. The fight scene was ridiculously unrealistic. Flips, throwing daggers with pinpoint accuracy, 40 against 4. I also have an issue with Athos's hair (or lack of it). Back then no one would have shaved their head like that. The style was long hair (or a wig). I'll stick with the 1970s movies by Richard Lester. They are rather tongue-in-cheek but at least the fight scenes are more realistic.

I wish that Hayao Miyazaki could have directed a Three Musketeers anime movie, it can be very excited.
