So, this song means a lot to me. Me and my partner met in the rooms. I was in the rooms because my ex beat the shit out of me and it was a condition from my lawyer to not have to pay at the bill. They were there because people ignore them so long they did hard drugs. For 3 years we were the better part of each other. They had hep c, and we knew about it but you don't think about it. We went through evictions, cops, restaurants and life. This person was my person. One day. On April 29th of this year 2026, their liver showed up with blood, and their vision didn't track.
They used to give me back rubs in bed, they are the best kisser, we loved each other very hard. And we survived a lot of hard ship from corporations like my apartment office that kept trying to evict us just because I was on disability and they couldn't get paid on the 1st even though it's federal law that they have to wait for when I get paid.
They ultimately drink themselves to death. With a hep c liver that already had too much damage. I blame myself cuz I couldn't see it's coming.
They died at 37 and I'm only 41 and he was my husband. We were magnetic north and south. We met in the middle on everything, we talked with nods and psychic thoughts.
Fall out boy was our favorite band. And this is the song I keep coming back to. There was four days. Four of them where I could have taken him to the hospital. But I thought it was another one of his binges. He is dead now. Fuck socioeconomics, And how you might take this song. But how I take this song is how you can love someone, and it still hurts forever. Because you have to live life. And half your soul is gone. That's all.

@TSR_HorizonOkay, so this is going to be kind of a rant and will probably get buried, but bear with me
So I went to the Columbus concert in March and they played this. I wasn't really paying attention to the song when it played because I was new to Fall out Boy in the same way that someone who respected them after knowing some title tracks but then decided to fall in deep would be. I was just happy to be at a concert as while I wasn't the biggest fan (and I never could be because I orbit through several interests like a planet) concerts are so expensive and my parents saved up to have my dad take me (I still live with them at 19 because there's nowhere else for me to go until I graduate community college, and I didn't drive or have friends at the time so that was out of the question).
Anyways I'm mentioning this because I was reading a Peterick fic with this song mentioned in it, and it was clearly set just before the concert I went to. You might be wondering why I was reading that, since I was so anti-peterick before in several of my comments, but... i guess I changed my mind? Very nice ship. Can't complain anymore for multiple reasons. But I decided to listen to this and I cried lmao. Idk why I'm sharing this
This album is so underrated. To be honest most if not all of post hiatus Fall Out Boy is so underrated and under appreciated. So glad I took the time to finally listen to this album, and found much more songs I truly missed and now I addicted to.

I mustered up the courage to reach out and hold her hand. She held mine back. Ultimately, her parents hated me because of how much she was willing to throw caution to wind to be next to me, and my family hated our relationship because I broke all the rules to be with her.
One day, I saw how she began lying to her parents and I saw the hurt in their faces. While I found it romantic, I also knew they were what she needed more than me at that stage of our lives and I chose her over my selfish desire to be her everything because I knew how she felt about me and what she would do for me. I broke us up, forced her to move forward in her own life without me because I wanted her to thrive and our young crazy love was doing the opposite.
