The only reason the FBI went after Gotti so hardcore is because he embarrassed them, Whitey Bolger did it better, he made the FBI that were assigned to him rich through payoffs, and he stayed under the radar. If he hadn't gone nuts in the end he would lived out a full life.

This version of Gotti from HBO is absolutely fantastic.

William Forsythe shined in his role as well. Very charismatic and added so many subtle dispositions to his character.
