How does any of this 'news' save the game? They cannot even get the games core models correct

I won't feel like anything is "saved" unless they restore the original Halo CE Elite behavior and animations; bring back health packs; and return the magnum to its original projectile system without bloom

The only thing that would be better is if they make the mark 4 Available and "Johnson's personal weapon" usable

Even if they are unable to make the MK IV armour a cosmetic usable in the base game, I think an explanation as to why that is the case is just as necessary

- The disc is basically just E-waste since it's just a license and still requires a download to feature complete.
- Even if it was feature complete on disc, it still requires a Microsoft Account in order to play it as a story only game.

I’m sure that, like many games today, this one is probably going to be bigger than discs can hold anyway. I know the disc is like a license anyway, but I’ve definitely noticed that games have gotten so big they can’t even fit on a quadruple layer Blu-ray which is insane.

But I also think this ties into PlayStation cutting discs altogether: so many games are so big they can’t even fit on a disc. It’s kinda like… why even bother making a physical copy when so much of the game needs to be downloaded to play it anyway.


Also, because online downloads exist, nobody is really trying to find a cost effective way of storing more information on physical media anymore. Back in the day, people were constantly trying to find new ways to store information because physical copies of things were all that were available.


My ideal scenario would be that some smart people who value physical media spend time and effort into finding a new storage medium that is cost effective and then we can go back to having all of our game on a disc and not need to download an extra 50 gigs or something on top of the disc

Hey mintblitz, i had a question/hope for halo campaign evolved. Way back in the day their was a certain group of training simulation troopers that would make brief cameos throughout the halo series. I was wondering if for the 25th anniversary we could see them return in some form or fassion. Like from behind a door or on a radio or terminal maybe even as the armor colors they wore in their legendary web series. Do u think that would be a last minute possibility?

On the first topic, I find it very strange that they used to make new physical media to keep up with the hardware, for example DVD to Blu-Ray. They say 4K blu ray cannot keep up with the current hardware read speeds so why not try to develop something new? Also they just removed Movies and shows from peoples libraries and then a few days later said that they will stop making physical media, it seems like the decisions they make are to purely control your wallet. I will never buy a Playstation console again.

Honestly. I dont want them to drop the multiplayer..... yet.... i want halo 2 and halo 3 remakes to drop and after all 3 of those games drop. Add them to a master chief evolved collection, and then add a multiplayer, that is a remake of all the halo ce halo 2 and halo 3 maps, all in one server meshed together without ruining any featudes the old multiplayer had, and have that be the main multiplayer experience for say 3 years time

The way that's phrased too, "so that you have a tangible item to add to your collection" almost seems like maybe they're taking a shot at Playstation. Maybe i'm reading into it too much. But Xbox has an opportunity here to undercut playstation like the old days by doing what gamers want while PS keeps making poor decisions. I wouldn't count on it but it would be nice to see some competition.

You'll get Halo on disk but you'll probably need to update it. This already means there will be more than one version of this game out in the wild.
What is the point of the disk then? Why not just a shiny piece of plastic with Chief's pic on it? Halo games don't get updates. Campaign doesn't get DLC. This was successfully done 25 years ago and they're still gonna fumble it.
