How An NFL Stadium Flips Overnight
Video Overview & Insights
Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta has hosted everything from Super Bowl weekend to concerts by Beyoncé and Taylor Swift. It's also set to host matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. On its busiest weekends, the stadium holds major events on back-to-back days. When that happens, more than 1,000 employees work through the night to flip the site in under 18 hours, cleaning the stadium, repainting the field, and preparing thousands of meals. We spent 24 hours with the team as it switched from a Saturday night college football championship to a Sunday afternoon NFL game between the Atlanta Falcons and the 2026 Super Bowl LX champion, the Seattle Seahawks.

All of you complaining about steve getting voted off the island, who would you rather have go then? You cutting Ed or Troy instead? Yeah i didnt think so. You picking steve over Dawkins? Didnt think so either. Yeah steve was awesome but hes not better overall than the other 3. Also, the way he hit he'd get a full season suspension with how soft the league is now.

More User Perspectives
I was there for both games: the SEC championship and Seahawks @ Falcons. While the game results were not what we hoped for, Mercedes-Benz Stadium proved itself to be one of the very best operations in the country and a destination I’d go back to over and over
@SolaceAndBaneHuge Respect for all the people who work behind the scenes, the commentators, cleaning crew, workers, cook etc. Without you all we didn't enjoy everything. ❤❤❤
@jasonlamigo7538Ill come back to this after my colonoscopy tomorrow and I can eat cause I cant watch this right now
@blzraven27We have season Lions tickets to Ford Field, we are there when the doors open. By golly Ford Field is always ready for us. Corridors, seats, bathrooms everything is cleaned, staff is getting it done, foods good. We appreciate the work that’s goes into game day prep and you treat the event staff with respect and little appreciation……. Next thing you know as they get to know you it’s hugs and good fun conversations. It is organized chaos at its best. Love the stadium staffs, Ford Field especially. One Pride.
@craigbaker9252If I had to flip that stadium over in 18 hours, I’d put the kibosh on that confetti!
@FBI_SurveillanceI wonder how often the workers think about the 20-35 yr. Olds that get paid millions to play a game on Sundays
@tedkelly3712That confetti is such a waste.
@cgh7337It’s pretty neat how many components go into a football game
@ParkerStClair-no4jzJust wanted to point out something that made me laugh..... lowered concession stand prices for food BOOSTED sales lol.... yea no shit ppl are tired of paying too much for shit
@FoxxyspotRecorded horizontally:)
@daveellis5100Then pay them like it ffs
@tylert6654Donating food my ass GTFOH
@NickAlexander-x7sNo mention of the small army of television technicians who worked both of those events. Yes, they're not part of the stadium operations, but surely their presence in the venue and movement in and out would have been worth a couple of lines. And chances are the SEC crew was completely separate from the NFL crew. The time I worked the SEC championship for ESPN, I think there were already trucks in place for the NFL show the next day. That would have been a cool thing to note.
@ChannelBecauseIHave2At 300 plus a ticket...wTF can afford this shit?
@DASISTMONGOPeople are spending more on live sporting events than ever before... yeah, because it's more expensive. PPV is expensive... tickets to the event are super expensive. There aren't more of us, it's just more expensive to go see a game or concert.
@SM-cw9jkI sure hope they reuse that confetti
@TValencia-e9rThe Mexican legacy! The Jalapeño!!
@MissMarpleAFootLove my job working in stadiums and arenas 😊😊😊❤❤❤
@Nancy-z6n8uA stadium could have 10 different food vendors in the food court. Are you telling me all the food for every one of those vendors is cooked and prepared by a single team in the kitchen - as opposed to the individual vendors bring in their own food? 🤷♂
@MrCityslickerktmThat brisket is sweet.
@gynandroidhead6:20 Those green onions look horrendous and your knife skills are comparable to a toddler...
@ShiftedGamesAll my co workers lol we lit 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@Prodby.G2Most of these stadium jobs are for the poorly educated and poorly skilled.
@mslauralewBtw these stadium uses people without documents to clean up
@FootballFIFITALets hope the Americans dont ruin the world cup by painting the hell out of the fields. White lines are all that is needed for the game. The idea is stupid and clearly costs a lot of money to paint and clean up the mess afterwards.
@chrissheppard342I have had to help clean a small local baseball stadium overnight and man that is a lot of hard work.
How these guys do this huge place in 18 hours is nuts. It must take a huge crew
Electricity costs $300k a month?? Jesus lord! They need some solar panels or windmills 😅
I bet season ticket costs here are a total nightmare
4:20 all that stuff ends up not recycled in another country anyway.
YO the brisket being tender enough to shove a jalapeño in is wild haha
@TeezSuccessFood sucked here ! I been to mlb nfl and nhl nba arena’s and the best food by far is Citifield New York Mets
@hawaii197Notice the kind of person working behind the scene. Largely invisible to society, yet so very vital to its success.
@EskimoJoe492Amazing ! 🤗🤗
@LVgirlLuvsPupsGO DAWGS, SIC EM!
@TheRealWattLifebro.. 4:20 that's really crazy work man. seriously respect to anyone who does have to sort through trash for 8 hours. damn. puts into perspective seeing that lady and her eyes..
@corporateSSJust goes to show Arthur blank is one of the best owners who’s really selfless and cares about the fans and city
@jasonschuberth9509The only problem is it's the falcons. All this great work for such a bad team
