I was a technical art director working at EA that was laid off as a result of this acquisition. I think there's more to be concerned with than just the buyout. What I'm really more concerned about is their javelin anti cheat system. This is a root kit which can operate without windows knowing what's going on. How many people (like military people for example) play this game and have sensitive information on their computers ? That's the real red flag nobody is talking about. As much as we like to think that private or top secret corporate or military data is secure, leaks happen, especially if it affects the individual directly. This could pose a grave security risk if this tool was used inappropriately.

And now EA is about to dig their grave even deeper. They agreed to be acquired by a private equity of the Saudi PIF. And Private Equity has been known to destroy many businesses and companies often due to being burdened with debt they cannot pay-off, with EA now saddled with $20 billion in debt. They are is likely going to end up shuttered, which would be an ironic end for a company that has been known to put companies they've acquired to go under.

I almost regret buying Veilguard when it came out. I had no idea what Dragon Age was at the time but the trailer was interesting enough that I got it. I regret giving EA money, but I can’t regret getting into Dragon Age. I’m furious that my favorite franchise was butchered beyond repair and how their team was gutted and thrown away. We barely got something playable. If not for the devs pushing back, we would’ve gotten some live service microtransaction-filled slopfest. It’s definitely a far cry from its predecessors, which I’m sad about.

I bought the latest WRC game which is an EA franchise. I only bought it because Codemasters (the same studio that made the DiRT series) was behind the production. I lost interest overtime because the game just felt empty for some reason. I’m really sad that EA bought codemasters because that means they will eventually go bankrupt. This shit just sucks man.

MLBB is the new EA. I love the game. But got destroyed when you play too much. The game lags or even using delayed tatics or buttons cant be touched. The worst part is the match making when you just playing solo. You need 3-5 players that you really trust to play the game.
